Okay, so there seemed to be quite a bit of interest in this in another thread so I said I'd see who was really up for it.
Both myself and that spaz Kriggs have copies and I think I can track down another two.
Most of the trophies are straight forward and can be grabbed with little effort, each game mode needs to be played for two hours, each class has to be played and 1000 bullets in one round are all piss easy.
The only grind is hitting the top rank in one class and the trickiest trophy is 'Fire Controller' which is for using each offensive support action in a round.
I've no idea if the MP is still alive and if it isn't what the minimum number of players needed to start a round is. Kriggs is bringing his copy around tomorrow and we'll see what the story is. We also need to find out if multiple copies can be played in the one house. Dice seem to have an issue with that and both BC2 and BF3 couldn't have more than one copy playing off a single router.
December 20, 2012 at 3:17 am #72598scotty243MemberI'm up for it. I'll try picking up a copy Friday with some other stuff. Also, do you know if all copies come with Frontline HD? 'Cause I would really like to finish up that game but hate having to search for a Limited Edition or whatnot. Frontline is still awesome.
December 20, 2012 at 6:05 am #72601gr8jrfanMemberI'm down for this, too. I'll be sure to be online despite the “end of the world” heading our way.

That 'other stuff' better include RE6!!!

As far as I know it's the 'Tier 1' edition that comes with Frontline.
December 22, 2012 at 7:59 am #72609gr8jrfanMemberOh my god, I can't believe I ever defended this game. The online is truly awful and that sad excuse for singleplayer is much worse.
The online's still surprisingly populated, but mostly everyone's level 15. I guess they didn't get the memo that Warfighter is out? Or maybe they're like me and they saw that that game looked as generic as store-brand cereal. The total population I saw when I scoped it out at peak hours was around 1,200, with nothing over 400 per mode. The sticky trophy we're gonna need is Fire Controller, because you need an absolutely insane score streak to make it possible for a cruise missile. If you were to get it on kills alone, it'd take 60, and that's just not reasonable given the circumstances of the current crowd that's still in the servers. I've loosely researched what the boosting process is like:
To take a server, we're gonna need a minimum of 6 people, and I think we're four at the moment, so ask around. I don't think the actual completion rate is too high for such a straightforward plat, so there's a good chance somebody on our friends list still has this turd unfinished. I think Sector Control is the only mode that has the 6 minimum but I'm not 100% on that. Also, everybody recommends this airfield map at some spot, but I'd rather sort out those tiny details when we actually get to them.
December 22, 2012 at 2:25 pm #72610emdeepeeMemberI had a look at picking this up to give you guys a hand but its still retailing at just over £11 which personally I think is a bit over-priced (Resi 6 only cost me £15!).
I only ever played the retail version of this game (which I'm assuming was the bog standard version) and it came packaged with Frontline.

Do you mind if we just get some random guy from the PS3T thread? It's tough finding guys on my friends list who haven't boosted this game. I know it won't be someone we all know, but at least we're getting something done

Of course I don't mind. If some poor bastard is willing to give his time to this poxy game then he's welcome on board. At the moment I have a copy, my mate Kristoff (Kriggs) has a copy and I can get another two copies; one from a friend and one from Gnilsia. With yourself, Nathan and Random Guy we're up to seven.

Wait, so how many guys would you like for this boost? gr8 told me we needed 6 and that we didn't, and know you're confirming we have 6? Along with that, when would a good day to get down and dirty with this multiplayer? Many questions, no answers!!
January 4, 2013 at 1:58 am #72649I773D33MABL3MemberIf all we need is six then we should be good to go. I still need to check how many copies can run off one router though. I think Kristoff is around tomorrow so we'll try then.
And I think between the six of us we're only spread across two timezones?
January 6, 2013 at 10:19 am #72653gr8jrfanMemberJust to verify: You do NOT need an online pass to hop online and it does NOT cap your level or anything. So if you really, really wanted to help us out (I think everybody said whether or not they wanted in but just in case) you could rent or pick this up for cheap and get away with it. Now's the time, people! We all know how EA are with their servers!
January 6, 2013 at 3:47 pm #72654I773D33MABL3MemberThe problem wit the router is going to mess me up a little but Kris can still play from home. I'm going to see if I can borrow a copy of another friend (he lives in the middle of nowhere and can't play onlne with his shitty net) and get my brother to sit in at his house.
Gnilsia has a copy as well but he doesn't get online much.

Really? Has that been removed then? If so I'll happily pick up a second hand copy and lend a hand.
