Eat the Heat (Bronze Trophy)

You performed a burnout

This is one of the many easy bronzes. Grab yourself something with wheels and all you need to do is hold down accelerate (x) and brake (□), the tires should begin to smoke and it should unlock.

 

Shoot to Thrill (Bronze Trophy)

You got 25 head shots

This is an easy bronze, you should get this from just playing through the game. Use (L1) to aim and (R1) to fire, make sure you aim for the head and it should unlock in no time. Snipers are particularly good for this.

 

Armageddon It (Bronze Trophy)

You destroyed 25 buildings

Another really easy bronze, again you should get this from just playing through the game and blowing up faction targets. If not just grab a tank, air strikes and some C4 and blow some buildings up.

 

Hail and Kill (Bronze Trophy)

You destroyed 50 objects using melee

Easy bronze, should be achievable from just playing through the game. If not go out and melee (o) a few things, boxes, pots and enemies all count towards it.

 

Holy Smoke (Bronze Trophy)

You destroyed 50 objects using grenades

Easy bronze, should get it from a play through of the game. If not just go nade stuff, a simple way to get it would be going behind the PMC and blowing up some of the furniture. Have heard from a couple of people that sometimes it does not unlock on certain objects so your best bet would be to go for people.

 

Little Savage (Bronze Trophy)

You destroyed 50 objects with and RPG launcher

Again an easy bronze, achievable through playing through the game. Just go around shooting things with an RPG.

 

Gone Shootin' (Bronze Trophy)

You completed one of Fiona's challenges

Pretty much self explanatory, just complete one of Fiona's challenges. Fiona can be found at the PMC.

 

Heavy Metal Thunder (Bronze Trophy)

You successfully completed 10 action hijacks

This trophy includes all types of hijacks, tanks and helicopters. Make sure that the gunners dead before you attempt one and be careful with what keys you hit, you'll need to complete the hijack for it to register. You'll do hundreds of these throughout the game so you'll most likely get it just playing the story.

 

Tattooed Millionaire (Bronze Trophy)

Be connected to the EA Servers and earn $1 million

You'll make your first million within the first hour of game play so make sure that you are online. You can check whether your online through the pause menu.

 

Highway to Hell (Bronze Trophy)

You completed 3 races

All you need to do is complete three races. Any mission racing from A to B, is considered a race. It's easier to just complete the races with Eva.

 

Partners in Crime (Bronze Trophy)

You've experienced co-op

Very easy, just invite someone or join a co-op game to get this trophy.

 

Wheels of Steel (Bronze Trophy)

You came in first during a co-op race

Self explanatory. I found the easiest race to unlock this one was the 'Race Challenge' from Eva located at the PMC. Make sure you and you partner are in different cars.

 

Runnin' with the Devil (Silver Trophy)

You verified Blanco

This will unlock after you complete the story-based mission “Blanco's Secret Meeting.” Remember that if you want to get the 'Aces High' trophy you'll need to capture him alive.

 

You Better Run (Silver Trophy)

You verified Carmona

This will unlock after you complete the story-based mission “Solano's Amazon Bunker.” Remember that if you want to get the 'Aces High' trophy you'll need to capture him alive.

 

No Compromise, No Regrets (Silver Trophy)

You battled for Caracas

Near the end of the game you will have to choose between the Allied Nations and the Chinese and complete a final contract. This will unlock at the end of the mission when *spoiler* Solano detonates the nuclear bomb.

 

Pipeline (Silver Trophy)

You captured all outposts for a single faction

Just follow the outpost missions for a faction and capture all available outposts. I suggest doing all the Universal Petroleum outpost missions and unlocking it near the start.

 

Be Quick or Be Dead (Silver Trophy)

You sniped 50 enemy vehicle drivers

A time consuming trophy but relatively easy. Just snipe the drivers of enemy vehicles. I suggest getting the .50cal Anti-Material Rifle Kit from either the Allied Nations or Chinese, makes things that little bit easier.

 

No More Mr. Nice Guy (Silver Trophy)

You pissed off everyone in Venezuela

When you have unlocked all 5 factions just go about and make each one hostile to you. It's easy enough.

 

…And Justice For All (Silver Trophy)

You verified all high value targets

Kill or capture all high value targets (HVT). There is a total of 56 high value targets, 6 of them story related and the rest side missions. Remember that if you want to get the 'Aces High' trophy you'll need to capture all of them rather than kill.

 

Digital Man (Silver Trophy)

You unlocked all shop items

To unlock this you'll need to complete everything on the following list:

 

1.      Find all spare parts, here is a Map – http://guidesmedia.ign.com/guides/793793/iamges/mercs2_guide_parts_1600.jpg

2.      Verify all high value targets, kill or capture

3.      Capture all outposts

4.      Destroy all targets, for every faction

5.      Destroy 40 billboards, once you have unlocked P.L.A.V

6.      Kill 50 members of each faction

7.      Complete the game, unlocks the nuclear bunker buster

 

Be aware that if you complete the game you may be unable to unlock all the shop items for the faction you destroyed.

 

We'll Burn the Sky (Silver Trophy)

You unlocked all landing zones

You have to capture all outposts for every faction and have them friendly to you. Make sure you have them all unlocked before doing the last mission as one of the factions will lose an landing zone.

 

 

Damage, Inc. (Silver Trophy)

You used 20 airstrikes in co-op

Get a co-op game going and call in 20 airstrikes. There is a glitch with this trophy so you may have to use more than just 20 airstrikes.

 

Nothin' But a Good Time (Silver Trophy)

You destroyed 200 objects from the gunner seat in co-op

Get in a co-op game, find or call in a jeep with a mounted gun and go about shooting every object you come across, people included. Can take a while but you'll get it eventually.

 

The Hero and the Madman (Gold Trophy)

You completed Mercenaries 2

Just complete the main story.

 

Balls to the Wall (Gold Trophy)

You mastered the Winching Challenge

Once you have unlocked Ewan just complete the Winching Challenge up to level 3 and you'll get this relatively easy gold.

 

 

Billion Dollar Babies (Gold Trophy)

Be connected to EA Servers and earn $1 billion

This is probably the hardest trophy in the game, just because its quite time consuming. I suggest going through the game and earning as much as you can through the story missions and them just doing the Winching Challenge until you hit a billion. Make sure that you are Online, as it will not unlock if you aren't.

 

School's Out (Bronze Trophy)

You completed the tutorial

Complete the tutorial at the start of the game, its story related and can't be missed.

 

The Rage (Bronze Trophy)

You completed “Rescue Carmona”

Complete the first mission of the game, its story related and can't be missed.

 

Hello, Hooray (Bronze Trophy)

You acquired the PMC

Capture the villa, its story related and can't be missed.

 

Wild One (Bronze Trophy)

You recruited Ewan

After doing a number of missions for Universal Petroleum you'll meet the helicopter pilot, Ewan. Following the mission you'll recruit him and he will be at the PMC. Visit the PMC to unlock the trophy.

 

The Analog Kid (Bronze Trophy)

You recruited Misha

Following recruiting Eva she will tell you about a jet pilot called Misha. Visit him and recruit him and he will be added to your PMC. Just visit the PMC to unlock the trophy.

 

Oil and Gasoline (Bronze Trophy)

You recruited Eva

Following recruiting Ewan he will tell you about a mechanic called Eva. Visit her and recruit her and she will be added to your PMC. Just visit the PMC to unlock the trophy.

 

Ride the Dragon (Bronze Trophy)

You hijacked the tank in the villa

Make sure you hijack the tank in the villa near the start of the game.

 

Stand Up and Shout (Bronze Trophy)

You achieved maximum mood with the Allies

Just complete a couple of contracts for the Allies and you'll unlock this.

 

Forever Free (Bronze Trophy)

You achieved maximum P.L.A.V. mood

Just complete a couple of contracts for the P.L.A.V. and you should unlock this.

 

Island of Domination (Bronze Trophy)

You achieved maximum Pirate mood

Complete a couple of contacts for the Pirates and you should unlock this.

 

Longing For Fire (Bronze Trophy)

You achieved maximum Chinese mood

This will unlock after you have talked to Fiona and chose 'Introduction to China', it will play a cut scene and you should get it.

 

Dirty Deeds (Bronze Trophy)

You achieved maximum Universal Petroleum mood

After a few missions with Universal Petroleum you will meet Ewan and he will fly you back to the PMC. It should unlock when you get there.

 

Aces High (Gold Trophy)

You captured all high value targets

You have to capture all high value target alive. This is one of the hardest trophies in the game, but can be done easily if you make sure you save properly. Make sure you have auto-save disabled before you attempt this and save before you attempt to capture and after you have.

 

World in Flames (Platinum Trophy)

You earned all trophies in Mercenaries 2
