Anybody here take any notice of what's happening in the music world? Anyway, here is a list of the 2010 nominees…
- Biffy Clyro – Only revolutions
- Corinne Bailey Rae – The Sea
- Dizzee Rascal – Tongue N' Cheek
- Foals – Total Life Forever
- I Am Kloot – Sky At Night
- Kit Downes Trio – Golden
- Laura Marling – I Speak Because I Can
- Mumford & Sons – Sigh No More
- Paul Weller – Wake Up the Nation
- The xx – xx
- Villagers – Becoming a Jackal
- Wild Beasts – Two Dancers
I hope 'The xx' win… I like their (mostly) soft, moody sound. Dizzee's probably in with a shout? I think i'd like 'Wild Beasts' more if it was a female vocal… I can remember seeing 'Biffy' when they were just a crappy club band, still crappy now though if you ask me.
I still can't believe Speech debelle won last time!? Over Florence and the Machine!? Does 'Speech' even make music anymore… That was poor…
Anyone with any thoughts on these bands?

Of course I'm kidding, but I haven't heard of many of those above. Don't listen to the radio or watch music channels, other than what I pick up on at the gym!!

July 21, 2010 at 12:17 am #64026parnakasMemberThey should just give it to Muse, and call it a day.
I know they weren't nominated, but hell.. Muse is the best band around right now imo.
And I have never heard of any of these bands, like the other posters. Probably because I'm from Canada.

Yea, I mean Muse is just out-of-this world good. Special thanks to Pokenny for making me obsessed with them And none of those bands have even scratched the surface on what Muse has done for music. Muse = The Best Band of our Time.
