People saying this doesnt make sense ? Wow 3 days off this site and a whole controversy hits . Allen did this whole thing to get tight with Markov , with a small price here they can get the bigger batch with a little bit of sacrifice . Meanwhile he doesnt know that that they know hes American , so they go through with it and pop him in the end , making it seem most of this violence has been brought down to being the Americans fault . Atleast this is how i caught it .

from what i've seen, that doesn't look like a little sacrifice.
November 18, 2009 at 1:13 pm #50360W4RG34R3D_SN1P3RMemberYou get what i mean Ratchet . And what i speak is true .
You guys are telling me this mission makes no sense . Well i replayed the mission , shooting Allen at the end was all intentional , they left it there to make it seem the whole massacre was down to one american , and he just bled out from a gun wound . Which explains the attack on America from Russia. Its vital .
November 18, 2009 at 3:19 pm #50364BigWoopMagazineMemberI think you guys missed my point entirely. Reread what I posted earlier. If you still don't get it… well nuts to you. I'm not bothering to reiterate or describe it any further, cause its pretty damn obvious.
@Atomic-G – you're saying you do this to get closer to Makarov. To find out what his plans are, so you can stop a war. You know what stops those plans, and that war? A bullet in his head, not following him like a moron while he carries out the plan you want to stop.
November 19, 2009 at 2:17 am #50406dizzel22Memberyou guys are reading to much into this stage and really need to relax about it , its desingned to shock you and just be a bit different . Being shocked by this stage is fine but if you get upset by this your going to get upset by alot
You could always avoid everything that upsets you but if you do that your going to have a very sheltered life .
Get over it it's just a cool little stage in a video game

BigWoop – I dont think Infinity Ward just didnt want to go to in depth on this y know ? I mean it was a cool mission , and ofcourse wasnt optional . Its just like saying ” Why wouldnt Nate Drake shoot Harry when he gave him the gun when attacked by the Guardians ? ” Same concept . I mean i sure as hell would , and your saying its the same thing in Allens perspective . I mean its godamn Nathan Drake if he can take on the cursed army of El Dorado he can take on Lazaravic ( god-like or not )

at your U2 statement
because Lazaravic would find out and kill Elena and Chloe…. theres a reason why Drake didn't kill him.
and there were those scarecrows attacking at the same time.
November 19, 2009 at 1:06 pm #50426W4RG34R3D_SN1P3RMemberThats stupid Ratchet seriously . You think Lazaravic would have the time to kill them when the dressed up guardians were attacking them ? No he tried and save himself first . Dont reply with the obvious to save Uncharted 2s ass in the obvious statement . Naughty Dog makes mistakes too .
November 19, 2009 at 7:40 pm #50453InsaniaMemberThis level does fit in with the story because it explains why the Russians attack the US
On a side note i think its funny how since Thickbrow left noone has used the post rating feature lol

EXACTLY!!! Even at the end before Lazarevic drinks the sap & becomes God-like why doesn’t Nate pop him in the head? He has ample opportunity, its a game thats why, the developers want to stretch out the gameplay a bit so that people aren’t pi s s e d off by a barrage of cutscenes & little to no gameplay. How many dicks kicked up over MGS4 being heavy on the cinematics?
Now, as for MW2’s No Russian mission, as has been pointed out by some sane people here it completely ties in with the storyline, Allen is trying to get close to prevent a war breaking out & to do that he needs Makarov to spill the details, & to do that, Makarov – now don’t quote me on this but I’m guessing he would have to be pretty much alive ??!!
& just for the record the Airport Mission wasn’t Makarov’s big plan so stopping him there would have been futile
Another point, its an adult game, hence the age restriction on the box, you get the choice THREE times to skip the mission & if you’re still offended or whatever after that then theres not much else game developers can do to please you except keep turning out kids game after kids gameNovember 19, 2009 at 8:53 pm #50463CoryAllenMemberi agree. the mission is good anyways lol. it'd be dumb as hell not to have it! but it'd suck to skip it because then the story would not go well.
i like how like the first 3 missions you're private allen. it's like they're calling my name lol

You actually get to hear Allen talk aswell , thats a first for characters you actually play with .
November 20, 2009 at 2:48 am #50504CoryAllenMemberwell at least allen was there for a bit lol

Its in the intermission cutscenes , the ones people usually skip once loaded , which is why i think people are saying ” No Russian ” makes no sense . You here Allan talk to Sheperd and say ” How do i look ? ” and Sheperd replies ” like one of the bad guys “
