Don't really see the point in this myself. Guess it'll be like Black Hawk Down with different characters.

November 19, 2009 at 4:20 am #50411Ratchet525Memberehh it would probably end up as a normal (or a total fail) action movie but i bet every CoD fanboy will see it.

Fanboys have nothing to do with it . People are going to look aside the fact that its CoD and if its done right they ll look more on the War movie side . It can be a total mirror image of Black Hawk Down or if its like Saving Private Ryan it ll be even better . Its going to attract people if they see its made well and ofcourse the reviews .
November 19, 2009 at 6:31 pm #50443KnoxieMembercould be bad… but it good be brilliant.
i hope its on MW if they do decide to do one, and if it has a good plot (which the story is awesome) it should turn out well if they take theyre time.
November 20, 2009 at 1:22 am #50485JEG050Participanti agree it could go either way depending on how they make it.

i really got to disagree with you.
If they make a movie with the name Call Of Duty, you really dont think that CoD fanboy's are going to see it? of course they are. They would support anything with the name Call Of Duty on it. Hence the name fanboy. Why do you think so much people have CoD:WaW? Because its a great game? No. Because it has the name Call of Duty in it. If it didn't everyone knows no one would have bought that game.
November 20, 2009 at 3:04 am #50513W4RG34R3D_SN1P3RMemberI never said they wouldnt watch it . But face it , theres many more movie watchers then CoD players out there , so if people hear ” Oh this new movie Call Of Duty is really awesome ” then people will watch it . Im just saying more regular movie buffs and citizens would make the bigger impact on sales then gamers if it came down to this .
November 20, 2009 at 3:17 am #50522gow2rulesMemberi am going to be hesitant withthis and so many games claim to have movies coming out and nothing happens think god of war, gears of war and spyro
i won't bother with this till i see some trailers proving its being made and will come out etc pop

I love call of duty but i am not going to buy a lego call of duty
November 20, 2009 at 4:04 pm #50551BigWoopMagazineMemberI think tons of people will go watch it, but not necessarily enjoy it. Its sort of like Max Payne. I went and watched it, despite the fact that Mark Walberg sucks (which he totally did once again in this movie). Why did I go? Because Max Payne 1 and 2 both had great story lines, and I was praying that they did it justice in the movies. They did not. I expected that, but was actually floored at just how flat the acting was, it was that bad.
Call of Duty doesn't even have a great story line in the first place. Its ok, enough to motivate you to shoot the enemies in the game, but we all know thats not where the glory of this game lies. In fact, the characters you play as are dimensionless and flat, with literally zero personality in the game. You're just some guy in this situation. They did that on purpose since the focus is on multiplayer in these games. A CoD movie is just going to be another war story with that name tacked on. Every fan will go see it because of the name, and most likely be dissapointed in the end. However, someone will make a lot of money along the way, and thats really the only reason this conversation is happening in the first place.
@Parnakas – I'm ashamed to say it, but you're right. The only reason I bought WaW was because at the time, I just wanted more CoD. What a sad mistake I made. In no way did I want another WW2 game, I just wanted more levels, and ended up being dissapointed in every possible way. Oh well, live and learn.
