sent it to you, ratchet.
May 26, 2010 at 12:32 am #62142I773D33MABL3MemberI'll have to agree with Doc-B and say Mario Kart is still firmly on top. Online can kiss my ass because that was the best multiplayer game ever. You'd spend half the time breaking your shite laughing at something you'd just done to your mates or vice versa.
I'm honestly a little disappointed with Modnation. I knew I would be as soon as I saw there was a drift button. I can't understand why they include that in modern kart games.
I've barely touched the online racing yet because I'm having endless problems with the servers and the single-player loses my interest after a few races. The last racer I played was Motorstorm PR and I could play the same track on that for hours.
Modnation seems to have put so much effort into the creation side of things that they forgot people had to race the tracks as well. The actual driving is boring and feels identical to the recent Sonic kart game: which was shite.

got too disagree i thought it was an awesome kart game
May 26, 2010 at 2:13 am #62145parnakasMemberGotta say, this game is great. The single-player is pretty easy, but the online is awesome. Really like this game.

I know, what's up with that? Is it so those who can't perfect the angle or something… In Mario kart flicking the stick to get a blue flame was almost a “skill” in it's self – And yes i know it was p!ss easy, but you could still mess up if you flicked at the wrong moment… Or left the kart to drift to much trying to get a blue flame, lol. I mean at least you felt like you were somewhat still in control.
Although saying that the only real differance is that you hold the button rather than jump and hold the angle… And Mario Kart Wii was root…
May 27, 2010 at 5:23 am #62190parnakasMemberI like the drifting in this game..
Anywho, I forgot to mention my thoughts on the controls. The steering is.. “floaty”. By that, think LBP jumping. Thats kinda how I felt about it, but a few people have to told me that its just me, and the steering is fine. So it could just be me.
May 27, 2010 at 9:36 am #62196Dkx07MemberI'm really digging this game. The steering seems alright to me, but I haven't played that many racing games lately.
June 8, 2010 at 4:46 am #62388CoryAllenMemberi love the game but it seems the further into the tours you get, the less story is given. you just race races with nothing said. they shoould've put more cutscenes lol. i love MNR! i dont regret getting it over RDR one bit lol

“Story”? What story? Every cut-scene in the game made me wince. I skipped almost all of the later ones. I love the game but the humour and dialogue is mingin'.

I dont regret getting RDR over MNR…but im still gunna get MNR. Tom tells me its a hard plat. I expect it to be the same difficulty as LBPs platinum. Can anyone tell me if it is hard or not?

Well, its gonna be really hard to plat, because of that stupid 250, 000 Create Points thing.
I mean, you only get 5 points if someone downloads something of yours, 1 point if someone views you, and 3 points for a race if I'm not mistaken.
And with the online community being no where near as big as LBPs, its going to difficult to get people to download your stuff.
Other than that trophy, they are pretty easy. I would say a tad harder than LBP.

Ya this is definatly going to be a harder plat than LBP considering only like 10 people globaly have 250,000 Create XP and of those 10 people only about 5 of them are Level 30. But definatly a fun game and worth every single dollar that I payed for it considering all the stuff that you can do.
June 9, 2010 at 6:55 pm #62452I773D33MABL3MemberThe trophy for getting in the top 10% on a Hot Lap might be a tricky one. I haven't put much effort into it yet but I keep seeing times of about five seconds so I'm assuming people are glitching already?
June 9, 2010 at 7:11 pm #62457d4h8a15r16m23a42Memberto get the plat quicker just auto-create as many tracks as you can, then sign into a secondary account and play all your tracks. between that and people actually playing your tracks it should speed up the process a bit
