I think its the best film ive watched for a while.
June 4, 2010 at 11:36 pm #62292I773D33MABL3MemberDeath Sentence is one Hell of a movie. I picked that up at random and was just blown away by it.
I picked up Daybreakers and The Book of Eli and I was a little apprehensive sitting down to both because they'd received very mixed reviews. I needn't have worried as I loved both. Daybreakers does nothing amazing with the vampire genre but it makes a pleasant change to the current shite that's being hoisted on us. I like my vampires to be scary, not tweenie heart-throbs with their own brand of lunch-box.
The book of Eli was a film that I just sat back and soaked up. Everything about the production, from casting to cinematography and music, was just spot on. The bleak future created was so gritty I expected dirt to come out with the disk. I watched it with Gnilsia and he said it was one of the best films he'd ever seen. Recommendations from both of us then.

Shrek 4, good movie, but it made me feel old.
It was actually good?
I know the third one was complete crap, and this one didn't look any better. I wont judge it until I see it.. but it looks pretty trash right now.
I totally agree with you.
June 9, 2010 at 6:48 pm #62450I773D33MABL3MemberSat down to watch some TV yesterday and threw on Sky Modern Greats HD.
I managed to get Alien 3, Back to the Future 2 and Con Air one after the other.

Is that the movie with the Mayan's? (Or Aztec's?)
Saw Fearless the other week, was a good Martial Arts film, first Jet Li film i've seen tbh.
