Tower Heist. Fairly shite!!
That was poor all right. Seriously short on proper laughs.
March 25, 2012 at 8:50 pm #71529scotty243MemberSaw 21 Jump Street last weekend and I found myself to just be smiling and having fun with the film the whole time than actually laughing at every part. It's just a fun time and hoping to see it again soon.

Colin Farrell made me laugh too with some of the shit that comes out of his mouth
April 16, 2012 at 1:16 am #71616scotty243MemberSaw The Cabin in the Woods earlier and I thought it was great. I actually laughed more during the film than jumping because the film wasn't trying to be scary (although it did have scares, and not jump scares ). Probably IMO, one of the best horror movies made because of the things they do in this film.
April 30, 2012 at 12:50 am #71653scotty243MemberSaw Immortals and Mission: Impossible IV: Ghost Protocol today. Immortals action scenes were fantastic while any other scene felt like a very bad play at a high school theatre. The actors took this script as if it was bad (which it was!) and tried to make this a Shakespeare play. But, one particular scene SPOILERS FOR IMMORTALS when the main antagonist cuts Theseus's moms throat and checks his nails was pretty much how every actor film when this script was handed to them SPOILER FINISHED. Besides that, I have to admit, getting to the fight scenes was well worth it especially the end battle but that ending pissed me off SPOILERS it should have ended with Theseus going to the heavens or dying. SPOILER FINISHED.
On the other hand M:I:IV was pretty well crafted with the action scenes having my blood pumping and jumping a few times. Although the story was typical, it was actually really nice and the whole team did well. Gotta give credit to that soundtrack though, really made the thrills heart pounding.

The Raid looks awesome, I'm just hoping we don't get hit with censored versions over here.

May 2, 2012 at 3:06 am #71673scotty243MemberMenace II Society and a little bit of Boyz N The Hood. Interesting films that I wish I had seen earlier. Didn't fully watch Boyz N The Hood though as I had to do something but Menace II Society was a great film. Starting to love films that do not have a particular story, but rather a group of characters and them changing in which the environment they live in.

Two thumbs up for Scotty.
When you say you didn't fully watch Boyz, do you mean you didn't see the entire film or just kinda switch off to it?

It came on TV (in the living room), so I tried starting the film over and it did but the actual film ended a few minutes later, it was on commercial and I check something on the computer and my mom accidently turned the channel and I didn't see anymore. I think I left out on one of the kids getting his football back from the group of 'thugs'. I actually might end up buying both films along with Friday (awesome movie!!).

Sounds like you only saw the first 30 odd minutes. You definitely need to check out the rest of the movie. As for Friday, another good choice, but stay away from the sequels!
Just got back from The Avengers and I have to say I loved it. Definitely lived up to my expectations. Humerous, action-packed and great special effects. Feel a bit sorry for Chris Evans mind, he's still lumbered with the campest superhero suit in the world!
May 2, 2012 at 9:52 pm #71678I773D33MABL3MemberIn preparation for the new Avengers movie I'm going back and watching all the seperate films. I watched Captain America last week and just finished Thor.
Please someone tell me that Avengers Assemble is better than those two…
