Does Hawkeye and Hulk get a lot of screen time, or is it like 10 min. scene with them and it focuses on Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America?
Hmm, difficult to answer without giving too much away. The last three definitely get their fair share of screen time. Bruce Banner is fairly well served too considering. As for Hawkeye. He gets a bit at the start drops off a little in the middle, but then when shit hits the fan at the end they all get to kick ass

I should seriously check up on some of those films you listed, you have great taste in film.
Anyways, just came back from The Avengers 3D and I'm not feeling so hot. I feel like throwing up after eating so much junk but on to the 3D aspect, WHY THE ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** IS 3D EVEN MADE!?!?!?!??!?!?!? I'm am ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** DONE! 3D is garbage and will never be spectacular, EVER! Good thing I saw a matinee for the 3D because I would've been so ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** pissed off. The ONLY thing good about 3D was the trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man which was ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** boss in 3D. Anyways, on to the film, it was ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** fantastic! Just awesome. 10/10! The first true summer blockbuster I've seen since the original Transformers (those others were just shit!). I had a great time and I actually liked all of the superheroes and might go out and rent the 'prequels' of this film. I enjoyed Hulk and Hawkeyes' performance alot! Joss Whedon, you brilliant son of a sexy bitch! Perfect! Hopefully, the next superhero films that follow (The Dark Knight Rises (I call Batman a superhero) and The Amazing Spider-Man) will be just as great. Just a ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** great time! I don't know why I'm cursing so much though , maybe it was just that great. 10/10!
May 6, 2012 at 8:58 pm #71712I773D33MABL3MemberA lot of people are complaining about the Avengers 3D. And not just that it's bad but that it's making people feel ill. I know Mojo and his mate went to see it and had to keep looking away from the screen because their eyes were hurting.
May 6, 2012 at 11:46 pm #71714emdeepeeMemberDon't know what the difference is but when I saw Avengers it was in real 3D rather than (regular) 3D. To be honest I didn't feel as sick as I normally do when watching extended periods of 3D.
@Scotty, just to warn you Thor and Capt. America are nowhere as amazing as the Avengers.
Had my sister come visit for the weekend so got subjected to Bridesmaids!!! At the risk of being ostracised from the site it wasn't the worst film I've ever seen. Although some of the rather fit women on the front cover didn't hold up so well in HD!
May 7, 2012 at 11:15 pm #71717emdeepeeMemberJust watched the Hollywood remix of Girl with a Dragon Tattoo. Have to say I enjoyed it and if it wasn't for the fact that it hadn't been that long since I saw the original would probably rate it even higher. Rooney Mara did as good a job as Noomi Rapace (no better, no worse).
Probably up there with Finchers best work too. Behind Seven and Fight Club, but as good as anything else. The Game is still a guilty pleasure, but my dislike of The Social Network stems from the fact that I could give less than a shit about Facebook.
Still begs the question though about just what happened with Alien 3. I watched that again recently (having not watched it for about 10-11 years) and still wonder how Fincher could turn out such a piece of shit. Surely only one answer? Studio interference!!
May 8, 2012 at 2:17 am #71718scotty243MemberDavid Fincher is one of my favorite directors, I love the mood he sets for the film. How come you don't like The Social Network? Is it just the Facebook thing?
Anyways, I saw a bit of Manic and it was ok to good. The premise was pretty interesting but the camera was always shaking in every 2 seconds and while it did have the feeling of you're in an insane asylum, it was too much to handle.

Yeah pretty much. It was a well made film but it just didn't strike me as the sort of story that Fincher would normally tell. I guess it helps raise his profile though and in turn gives him the opportunity to make the films he wants to?
May 9, 2012 at 2:25 am #71720scotty243MemberSaw Grave Encounters earlier because it in one of my personal favorite genres: the found footage genre. It was good at first and kind of freaky because of the environment but slowly towards the end it became kind of boring.
May 9, 2012 at 11:13 pm #71724scotty243MemberSaw Captain America and I thought it was pretty badass. Might watch Thor later on this week and Iron Man 2.
May 10, 2012 at 9:08 pm #71733khaoschickMemberSaw The Avengers in 3D last Saturday, loved it!
May 10, 2012 at 10:51 pm #71736gr8jrfanMemberI, like millions of other people, saw The Avengers in 3D last weekend but I won't really say too much about it because everything that basically can be said has been. I'll just ask this question:
To all of you here who saw the movie, who was your favorite superhero? Mine was Cap all the way!
Another film I watched last week was Silent Hill. It was by far the worst videogame adapted movie I've ever seen. Utterly shitty in almost every aspect. The only notable thing was Pyramid Head's two appearances. Not scary, terrible writing, lame actors, stupid characters, bad use of the license, and a completely nonsensical story (though I think apart from Pyramid Head this was the only thing that was similar to the game) If you watch the film, watch it on how well the monsters look, how bad the movie was, (torture your friends, unintentional comedy) or just laugh at how dumb the mom was. Silent Hill disgusted me and it wasn't because of it's paranormal inhabitants, it was how dreadful the damn movie was to watch.

I take it you're not going to be first in line when the sequel hits later this year then?
As for your first question I'd have to go with Iron Man. RDJ got the best one-liners and was nowhere near as dickish as he was in IM2
May 11, 2012 at 1:38 pm #71740I773D33MABL3MemberYou'll probably laugh, but I actually loved Silent Hill. I have two copies of it!
I watched 'Falling Down' yesterday. I hadn't seen it in over fifteen years and I'd forgotten how much I liked it. With the exception of some of the supporting cast (who are so exaggerated they seem like caricatures of themselves) and one terrible punch the movie has aged really well. And Douglas is awesome the whole way through.
And last night I sat down with my inner child and watched 'Kung Fu Panda 2'. Maybe not as many laughs as the first one but still awesome fun.
