Saw Serenity and Iron Man 2. Serenity I thought was probably one of the best sci-fi films ever with memorable dialogue, great characters, and a pretty surprising and engaging plot. Might even check out the show. Iron Man 2 was good and enjoyable but felt like it was filler for most of the film.
Saw Shame and it was different. While some scenes were a little too much for me, I felt as though it really captured the main characters 'addiction' really well and the pay off was really well done and actually makes use of the title. Warning: Do NOT watch this around kids, it's NC-17 for a reason.

May 22, 2012 at 3:34 am #71792scotty243MemberTrying to see The Raid: Redemption… can't even find a torrented copy of it .
Saw The Grey and must I say, it was fantastic! Great film with great emotional depth to it. The film has characters that you slowly start to like and makes it much harder to go on in the film knowing something might happen at any moment. Along with that the film is complimented with great cinematography including fantastic shots that show off the internal struggle of fighting for life. And while the ending some people may not like… it certainly made the film for me better and I guess personal…
Might start watching more films… I'll be eatin' this thread up!
May 22, 2012 at 8:28 pm #71798I773D33MABL3MemberI went and saw The Dictator and laughed my fcuking ass off. Start to finsh it had me in stitches and I'd recommend it to anyone.
@Scotty
The Riad will be released soon enough on disc so just pre-order it and have something to look forward to.
May 30, 2012 at 12:02 am #71856scotty243MemberSo, I just saw We Need To Talk About Kevin and having to wait this long to watch this film was not really worth the wait. The film is honestly good and interesting but everything I wanted was not in the film. Maybe I was tired or something, but everytime we found something interesting to explore, the film just cuts away from it. I thought the perspective of the film was just right but they could've switched perspectives from the Mother to Kevin because Kevin is pretty interesting. Good thing I rented this for free…
Edit: I've had a change of heart and you know what? ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** what I said. Do NOT watch We Need To Talk About Kevin. It's not worth your time and/or Money!!

I, like millions of other people, saw The Avengers in 3D last weekend but I won't really say too much about it because everything that basically can be said has been. I'll just ask this question:
To all of you here who saw the movie, who was your favorite superhero? Mine was Cap all the way!
Captain America here too!!
I recently saw 'The Woman in Black'. Not scary at all, nope.

Haven't seen it in a while, but still awesome!
June 25, 2012 at 10:55 pm #72009scotty243MemberSaw God Bless America and half of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance earlier (we're talking 3 AM). God Bless America was a very hilarious film and it's class. God Bless the person who wrote this script in fact because it was really hilarious and while dumb stuff is happening it kinda makes sense of why these characters are doing what they do. Don't want to give much more away though.
On the other hand, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance was kinda all over the place. While the action is nice, the cinematography is not. The shots are all over the place, zooming around, and it's pure chaotic. With that, the dialogue and some of the acting is pure shit along with it. I hate to bag on Nicholas Cage but c'mon! He's in one mood the entire scene, he doesn't shift his attitude at all and it's like he's just doing a parody of himself. Oh, and the devil-child is fcuking dumb. Saying all that though, I haven't finished the film and probably just re-edit this for my full 'review' of it I guess.
July 5, 2012 at 2:05 am #72029scotty243MemberHas minor/light spoilers for The Amazing Spider-Man 3-D
Never finished Ghost Rider so… Yeah, it was too shit to finish. Anyways, saw The Amazing Spider-Man earlier Today and I definitely have to say, it was a disappointment. The 3-D was utter ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** shit and was better in the actual trailer for the film than in the film itself. For the story itself, it's cool they focused more on Peter than just jumping straight into Spider-Man like in the previous films but the backstory with his parents is utter bullshit and putting that into a sequel when you're main marketing is about what really happened to his parents and stuff like that is ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** bullshit. It was downright disgusting how many plotholes were in the film that the director, Marc Webb, even said he was trailer to leave so much out there so he can continue this franchise. What the fcuk???! That's LAZY. I even saw an official conformation on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 a few months back but to actually save all these plot holes for the next film is completely fcuked up and you're already milking this franchise. Alright, I know this director had a lot on his plate due to him rebooting an already established film series and this being his 2nd film (his first being (500) Days of Summer which is an excellent romantic-comedy) but that doesn't give him a reason to leave plotholes in it still unless someone higher up wanted it to. The action in the film was alright and some moments were heartfelt and you can actually feel the chemistry between the two main actors. Hopefully, Marc Webb steps up his game in the next film or they need an all new director because what he did was insulting. Besides that, I think they should keep the cast and keep that sort of personal story with Peter and stuff like that.
3-D's still shit.

The Amazing Spider-Man 3-D…
You know 'Spiderman' and 'The Amazing Spider Man' are two different things… Right?
And 'multi film' films are all the range right now…

Yeah, I know they're different but I kinda don't understand what you are trying to say about the Multi-Film thing.
July 13, 2012 at 1:16 am #72060I773D33MABL3MemberI'm only hazarding a guess at what the Doc means but I'd say he's referring to the fact that it's become quite popular to drag one plot across several movies (Twilight) rather than have distinct story-arcs (Die Hard).
That's a wild guess though, I could be completely off track.

Yeah… That's what I mean…
Although, was Twilight the best example you could think of?—
Nate fury was average at best…
July 15, 2012 at 3:50 am #72072scotty243MemberIt's not really the fact that it's being dragged out, but when you advertise the Untold story to be in the film and was, but was taken directly out of the film, that's garbage. I can take it if you can put some of the plot in the film, but when you see the actual trailer and see some of the photos from the deleted scene where his 'Untold story' was suppose to be revealed and not even at least get a glimpse at the untold story in any way shape or form, that's when the shit hits the fan for me. Anyways, sorry if I don't make sense on this post, eating cheesecake and listening to something. Hopefully The Amazing Spider-Man thread I put up answers you fully.
