Another war sim FPS…
Usually that entails an essay length rant from myself. But I've surprised myself by actually loving this game. I started the campaign on veteran and now I'm on my second playthrough to clean up the remaining trophies and the game is still entertaining me.
The MW series has managed to do something that both BF3 and MoH have failed to do; create characters that I actually give a shit about. Price, Soap, Sandman and even Yuri all have personality and presence. And they come packaged in a dynamic (if familiar) blockbuster of a game. It's not often I get a proper thrill from a set piece or sequence in a game but MW3 got me a few times.
It's not perfect, the guns still feel weightless and the movement is lagging behind what DICE are doing but they did manage to avoid the retarded scripting that made BO, MoH and BF3 such an irritation to play.
How did the rest of ye feel about the game? I've yet to start the spec ops but they're supposed to be quality.
