Hi Everyone,
I am a long time gamer circa the 1980's and a brand new XBOX 360 convert. After the fourth RROD in 12 months I was done with Microsoft. It's nice not having to worry about RROD and having a system that is reliable that I can play anytime and know it's not going to break. Great job Sony!On another note, here's the thought on this posting. Is anyone interested in setting up a new or additional PSN profile and achieving Platinum Perfection? One game, one platinum. I thought this would be an interesting spin on trophy hunting. The objective is to play each game listed on that profile all the way to a platinum before starting a new game. It's a great way to get the absolute most out of your purchase and introduce a little competition and comradarie among friends.
My thought is to get a group of gamers together and come up with a list of upcoming games, maybe one every month or so that the group would tackle. The first person in the group to get the platinum in the game chosen by the group will get the next game on the list free as a prize and the other members of the group all pitch in a few bucks to buy it for the winner.
The only stipulation is that you can only play the one game chosen by the group on that profile. One game, one platinum or Platinum Perfection. Once everyone in the group achieves the platinum trophy we move on to the next game on the list and the competition starts over.
I thought this would be a different approach to get the folks motivated by platinum trophies in a group and work on them together. We all would also have nothing but platinum trophies listed for every game on our profile as well, which would be different.
Thoughts??
September 22, 2010 at 2:35 am #66469ZanatosMemberI already do this, but it's more like 100% perfection, and the only difference is I will play multiple games at a time because sticking with one can really burn you out. This can also get very frustrating at times, but the end result is always worth it

September 22, 2010 at 1:25 pm #66772I773D33MABL3MemberI have guy on my friends list that does this sort of thing. Last time I checked he had 29 games and 28 plats. FFXIII being the one he's currently playing. He doesn't have a single PSN game so it's just a wall of plats.

October 3, 2010 at 4:45 am #66953Oz-MetalheadMemberIt's an interesting idea. It's something i wish i did before i started. That is to maintain a 100%/Platinum ratio to how many games i have on my list. But with over 100 Platinums now i find it very hard to start again. If i could come up with a great new PSN ID i'd start again. I'm not sure if i like your idea though because i Plat most games in under a week and the competition would stipluate what i play. I'd rather play what i want when i want.

I work very long and hard days for 4 days then i have 4 days off. So thats why i get so much game time! Thanks for posting my gamercard emdeepee! I want to set up a side account for just earning plats. I got the hankering to earn Fallout 3 Plat again. Anyway this is all a bit off topic…
