Give up cigarettes and coffee
EDIT cut back on Coffee, givin up is crazy talk
Well I can confirm Gnilsia failed with both targets. He's still smoking and drinks coffee with the consistency of tar.
I've decided to finally pick up an instrument this year. Music is a massive part of my life and it's criminal that I haven't bothered before.
January 2, 2011 at 12:08 am #68554NinjacatMemberPerfect time for me to say I have also taken up an instrument! Properly this time.
What have you decided to learn, Jack? Guitar, I suppose?
I have gone down the less obvious route, I got a ukulele! Hooray!

January 2, 2011 at 4:00 pm #68559I773D33MABL3MemberYou guessed right Luke. I would love to pick up a drum kit but I'm fairly sure my neighbours would have me evicted. So I'm going with the guitar.
January 2, 2011 at 7:05 pm #68560parnakasMember1773 – I feel you, drums are just so loud. I have a big set in my basement, and I can only play it for a few hours after school when everyone is still at work.
Guitar is awesome though, best instrument imo. I've been playing for about 7 years now, and I always find new stuff to do with guitar. If you get bored with just straight playing through an amp, you can go buy some effect pedals and those can keep you entertained for years! Great instrument to learn.
My new years resolution: Finally (after 3 years) ask the girl of my dreams out.
Also, cut back on drinking Coke.
And maybe start working out.. MAYBE. But that will probably fail after about a week!

1: Do it mate, I'm still with the girl I was with last year. It'll be a year on the 25th of this month.
2: I should do that. In fact, I should just eat healthy in general.
3: I should also do this. For myself, not for anyone else. I just feel I want to better myself.

I'd say if number one turns out well it'll improve the chances for number three.

1: I want to, and probably will. I had a good opportunity a few days a go, but I pussied out. Lame, I know.
2: Exactly.
3: Thats why I want to do it. I want to feel better when I wake up in the morning. I'm not fat or anything, I'm quite skinny, but I always seem to feel weak or have some back pains.
1773 – LOL For sure!
January 3, 2011 at 4:14 pm #68569KnoxieMembermy main one last year was to go to the gym (for weights, not cardio) and i can say i successfully did it but it took til september for me to go 😐 but i did make up for it by going 3 or 4 times every week for the rest of the year :D! i also got to the weight i'd like to be bench pressing as well..
this year im going down the nerds route at doing well in my GCSEs, because im slightly underachieving atm and i wanna go to 6th form to do A levels.
im also gonna set another weight i'd like to be bench pressing at the end of the year 😉
January 3, 2011 at 5:12 pm #68572pool96MemberI achieved last years resolutions by cutting down significantly on PS3 time.
This year I have to do some crazy fitness work because on my football team we have been hit very bad by injuries so lately I am being used as an emergency right winger rather than playing center back and the difference in work load is substantial so I need to work on that.
I have to study a load aswel because I have Junior Cert exams in June and I need to kick some ass in them.

Good for you man! People rarely ever live up to their new year's resolutions. Even if it did take you a while to get into it, you still did it. Congrats on that one! I've never really made one and followed through fully. This is the year for change!
@hardandsloppy – LOL Its on. You better hurry up though, I'm planning on doing it soon!
