'Nintendo’s Denise Kaigler never wants to give you enough. She wants you to keep begging, you disgusting little boy.
“I will give you that hardcore gamers have an insatiable appetite for everything Nintendo,” she told BitMob.
“And we love that! We love that! When we get to a point where core gamers say, ‘OK, Nintendo, enough! We don’t need any more games from you guys…” None of us wants to be put in that position, right?
“We don’t want your appetite to ever be satisfied, because when we satisfy you, it’s time for us to go [dusts off hands], ‘OK! Let’s go on home now!’ And none of us wants to go home. So there’s this sort of fun… relationship, I think, that’s happening between Nintendo and the hardcore gamer — which we enjoy and hope that the core gamer enjoys it.”
Keep going, Denise. Nearly there.'

So… they’re maintaining the appetite by starving the core gamers to death? That doesn’t sound sustainable. I guess Nintendo are being dicks on purpose then?

They do not care about quality. I mean half of Wii games are mini-game collections.
All they want is to make money. Wii Fit sells a lot of copies, because parents think it will make there kids physcally active. Its BS to pay $100 for a stupid board, with some crappy mini-games.
The bad thing is, people are supporting this piece of shit, so Nintendo will continue to put out these stupid, crappy mini-game, arm-flailing pieces of crap they call a video game.

Nintendo used to be amazing, with the old consoles, but now they are just sellouts, with NO great games being on the Wii.

it wont…. the ps3 may have been losing them money before, but they still supported it with all these high quality games. Now the PS3 is doing even better because of all the amazing exclusives it has.
May 13, 2009 at 10:33 pm #25762tridonMemberSony has been my #1 pick since the original Playstation but I've always had a sweet spot for Nintendo as well. The NES, SNES and N64 were all amazing systems and the Gamecube was a deadly little system that just never had the support it needed to survive against Sony and Microsoft. I never bought a Wii because I knew I'd never be able to get into the gimmick of “moving around” to play a game. However, a gimmick is what Nintendo needed in order to take back their crown and I don't really blame them for taking the gamble. If the Wii would've failed, Nintendo would've been done with consoles and probably would've just went handheld-exclusive. I for one find the DS to be a more enjoyable handheld over the PSP. So, to break it down, I'm glad the Wii did well for Nintendo because it'll keep them in the game a little bit longer. I will not buy one but I'm glad others are. Without Nintendo, I doubt that there ever would've been a Playstation or a Xbox (even though that would not have been much of a loss). With the Wii, you're either going to love it or hate it. I know I would rather sit and play a game with just my fingers but I also know my family loves the Wii (my sister has one) because it's nothing too high tech. Okay, I think my rant is over now.
May 13, 2009 at 10:39 pm #25765GHOST305MemberI lvoe the old Nintendo systems (NES SNES N64) Those were great and fun systems. When I got the Wii, i enjoyed Wii sports because it was something new. But, after a while I realized that Nintendo wasn't going to put out any innovative games and that dissappointed me. Sony would never get to the point where they have to sacrifice their core gamers just to make money. I love the whole playstation family and will support them to the end. Nintendo…not so much…
May 13, 2009 at 10:43 pm #25766Domba_carMemberthe new PSP wont have touch beacuse they dont want to copy nintendo like nintendo copied sony and xbox copied nintendo
May 13, 2009 at 10:44 pm #25767Atomic-GMemberin my opinion nintendo seems to be the younger childrens console which they can enjoy were the ps3 and xbox is the older console for more serious gamers but it is annoying as a wii owner to go to shops buy a wii game and it last what 1-2 hours since its not a realy game its more like a mini game and its annoyng to think you wasted £30-40 on a game to find out its not a real game when you could of brought a ps3 game which will last longer and its more enjoyable to play
May 13, 2009 at 10:53 pm #25769kingofgames73MemberGood thing about the ds though is the little thing known as an R4….It lets me play games i wouldn`t normally buy (oh and yes CoD4 is terrible on the ds) it also lets me play games that aren`t out yet as a `tester` not sure if it`s legal, but it does make the ds Xs more fun than the psp heck you can even get some homebrew for it to download and play the old original GB games
May 14, 2009 at 5:24 am #25796HypnosisMemberAnyone remember the old snes game”Killer Instinct”?
I loved that game. They need to bring it back.
I remember I was able to get a 36-42 hit combo with the girl character.
That game had some seriously crazy combos with all the characters.

I loved “Killer Instinct” as well and I'd love to see it return… the only sucky part about that, however, is that it was developed for Nintendo by Rare which still owns the rights to the franchise. Now that Microsoft has acquired Rare, if “KI” ever does return, it'd be a Xbox 360 exclusive.
