Just curious what APTers are using! List your basic specs too and your 5 most used programs I am a PC user, haven't used MAC extensively but can appreciate it is more resourceful than windows

- Windows Vista
- Intel Core 2 Duo T9400
- Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT
- 500GB (2×250GB 2.5″ SATA II)
- 4GB RAM
- Optiarc BD ROM
- Intel Wifi 5100 agn
My 5 Most used Programs:
- Google Chrome
- Adobe Photoshop CS4
- Adobe Dreamweaver CS4
- VLC
- Netbeans

Digidesign M-Box 2 Mini (if you want to record music, this is the best and cheapest way to do it!)

processor-AMD AthlonX2 dual, if that makes any sense..
RAM-2.00gb upgraded from 1gb
HDD-100gb, dont need any more but might get another 500gb external for downloaded movies and music like i did with the ps3

nero Home essentials 7 SE
Microsoft office enterprise ( i think, its the second most expensive bundle) 2007

very nice system (ridiculously good RAM!)well worth the money i'd say! Have you tried OSX86 ? you could probs figure it out fairly easily, its a nice OS not as good as genuine Mac OS but good fun when you get it installed!

actually the ram only cost me £99. the cooler was £20 i think. which i think is great value for the speed and timings.
i forgot to mention, i have an asus VW266H 26″ 1080p monitor, and a samsung 5.1 dvd home theatre speaker system setup to go with it.
a little crowded on the desk, but worth it for the sound.
haven't tried osx86 yet. may put it on a dummy machine see how it goes. my main will always be a win-pc though. Though if it works well, I may offer it as a solution to customer's OS choice. Most open source programs are well built – especially if they get enough people contributing towards it. for now though, I'll stick with windows.
