well i dont agry with the idea beacause how you are going to sent the money to the winner. Also i have on MW2 90% that means that if i get the plaatinum in the weekend or month will i win the money. This idea is good but i cant be done between us. You do this idea with your friend from school or with your brother
December 12, 2009 at 5:18 pm #52288barkiemailmanMemberThat is an awesome idea man. I'd just like to point out a few things before any of this becomes official.
1) Keeping this contest “Fair” is almost impossible. Even right now there are a lot of people who are just a few trophies away from a plat.
2) Remember, even if you take all participants names and check their trophy lists before the contests starts, It's still easy to cheat…people can have a platinum, but NOT have their trophy list synced online yet. So after 6 days of the competition they can then sync the trophy lists to show 5 earned platinums (3 of which were earned before the comp started). ALSO, you can manually change the PS3s clock, so the time showing for those trophies earned will be inside the comps time period
3) Some people don't have Burnouts plat yet, as well as Hasbro family game night and WWE. Those who do not yet have them have a serious advantage as you can get those plats in a day or two.
The way I figure it, there is only 1 way to hold this competition and make it fair. Videogame launch dates. The contest should start with GoW3 and the 1st person to get that Plat earns 1 point, Dark void comes out on the 19th…1st person to get that plat earns 1 point. (and so on…). 1st person to get 3 points earns the $50 PSN card,
Hell, I'll help you too man. I work at a videogame store (I get games early sometimes, So I'm void from the competition). I can award PS3 games as I get get some pretty cheap ones usually. Although I'd have to check with Canada post to see what shipping rates to the UK are.
December 12, 2009 at 8:04 pm #52304parnakasMemberBarkie – as easy as it is to cheat, i would honestly trust most of the people on this site. We should only allow the people who are on here regularly to participate. No newbies allowed. I would be up for it.. i would probably lose, but it would be fun!!
December 12, 2009 at 11:07 pm #52322pool96MemberI'm up for it I don't think I am a noob to this site anymore, but I know I wont last long, once a platinum is in my grasp I cant resist getting it.
December 12, 2009 at 11:40 pm #52323Ratchet525Memberawesome i might just plat AC2 for this competition when i get it.
December 13, 2009 at 12:57 am #52344xxKnightmarExxMemberYou can't change the date that you earn trophies on, the clock only runs off the internet time. Before I signed up to PSN and earned trophies no time appeared underneath them but once you've signed up to PSN and synced them once then it can't be changed.
December 13, 2009 at 10:10 am #52378CoryAllenMemberi am definitely up for this! but i think some more rules stated would help d4h. because i don't completely understand how this competition would work.
December 13, 2009 at 4:54 pm #52406d4h8a15r16m23a42MemberFor those asking you don’t need to earn all the trophies on the selected day. You just need to earn the platinum on that day. So if you have one trophy left on a game go back and try to plat it.
Cory to help explain it better here is an example using people on this site.
So lets say 6 people signed up they were
Miiiitch, parnaks, Ratchet, BigWoop, Knoxie, and myself. We can all play our game today but must wait to earn the platinum on the selected day. Now on the first platinum night BigWoop doesn’t earn a plat and neither do I. So we are eliminated from the competition and Miiiitch, parnaks, Ratchet, and Knoxie move on to the next night. This continues until all but one are eliminated.
Hope that confusing example clarifys it for everyone.
And as for the person who asked how I would get the winner his winnings I can just activate a card and send the winner the code.December 13, 2009 at 5:29 pm #52411barkiemailmanMemberxxKnightmarExx said:

Sorry man, you can change the clock from “Set by Internet” or “Manual”. I got my copy of RE5 early and played offline and did that change to make sure there was no proof I got it early. Its possible.
December 13, 2009 at 6:58 pm #52415CoryAllenMemberok i'm definitely in d4h and thanks for the explanation. i understand perfectly now lol. but since barkie is right how will the cheating be prevented?
December 13, 2009 at 7:57 pm #52424JEG050Participanti'm up for even though i cant afford to buy a game every month. I have a question do you have to start the game from scratch (without a single platinum) or can i already be like half way done through a game an get the platinum in jan (for example i only need to get 1 more trophy in burnout so can i get it in january and have it count)?
December 13, 2009 at 8:00 pm #52425pool96MemberI'm definately in. d4h8 what happens if it's down to the last two people on a night and neither get a platinum? Do you split the pot so to speak?
December 13, 2009 at 8:18 pm #52427parnakasMemberWhat im thinking..
ok. I think i would trust most people on this site not to cheat.. but who knows what would happen. In D4H's post, he said that if you were missing one trophy from an earlier game, you can use that trophy as your plat for the day, so Yes, you can play previous games i think..
Redbren – if neither get a platinum, then its a 1 on 1 match in Mw2.. while the rest of us spectate! Sounds like fun!! lol i actually don't know, but i think that would be fine..
December 14, 2009 at 1:14 am #52476gow2rulesMembersign me up for this i'll try and plat dark void in january
December 14, 2009 at 2:06 am #52477xxKnightmarExxMemberLol, @ barkie, who would really care if you got RE5 early?
