Hells yeah, I want it, gimme gimme, hell yeah!

as a few of you may know, my favourite game is Sonic the Hedgehog 2. I'll be looking forward to this.

read about this earlier. completely and totally skeptical, and will not get my hopes up. Lets face it dude, they tried like 10 times already and have failed miserably. What makes you think this will be any different? 2D? Tons of other games have fulled off 3D platforming successfully, and I don't think thats the problem, but more the team making it. I won't get excited until I play it and see for myself. Sorry if I sound negative. It certainly has potential, I just don't want to get my hopes up again like I did for the others.

I have also heard about this earlier. I have lost my faith in the Sonic series but I will still probably give this a go.

Good for you Shade, hope this game comes out good. But I can't imagine a HD 2D game.

umm… letsee… HD in 2d… how about,,, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Blast Factor, Ragdoll Kungfu, Crash Commando, Burn zombie Burn!, Bejeweled 2, Fat Princess (yea, thats 2D buddy), Pixel Junk Eden and Monsters, and even Little Big Planet is pseudo 2D (despite that theres ~5 layers, each layer behaves as a 2D layer),,, need I go on? Most of them look pretty damn good too.

why is 2d such an important factor, because that's one of the main reasons the original sonic games worked. making sonic 3d took away it's charm, speed, direction and just about everything sonic the hedgehog should be.

so yeah i do have high hopes for this, because it's a big step in the RIGHT direction.

I'm certainly not going to say that the sonic games over the last 10 years have been good, But one thing i KNOW for absolute CERTAINTY, is that the original games were excellent. If they decide to do a HD version of something similar to the original games, then I have good expectations of it.

think of this, as it's last hope. 😛
