iv had my controller since i got my ps3 and for sum reasonthe stuff that covers the analog stick is coming off and as i have dropped it a couple of times if i shake it it makes a rattaling sound. just wondering wat problems people have had with there controllers. now i can get a rumble 1 now lol
When you move the analog stick, it touches the other part of the Controller and doe to this, some plastic rubs itself off the stick, producing a sand-like substance. This is no reason to worry, it's perfectly normal and one of my PS2 controllers actually has like 1mm of plastic missing on the left stick.
My controller makes a slight rattling sound as well and it also works perfectly fine. So as long as your controller still works, there is no need to buy a new one.
The sound I can't explain but the white stuff is just dust. You can compare it to sawdust that comes from the stick and the controller rubbing against each other every time you move in a game. Do that for a few hours and the “sawdust” appears.
I still have my sixaxis i got with my 40 gig.i have not had my system for long.i tryed the dualshock 3 controller… i don't like it at all,i find that rumble can be annoying and make the controller heavy.anyone feel the same way?
