I broke a few PS2 controllers in my time
, even punched a hole in my bedroom wall playing Fight Night 2 ironically, but have never broken a PS3 controller

I'd say go with the officials. The reason why the unofficials are much cheaper than the officials is because they are made cheaper. However, one problem with the official ps3 controller is that if you drop it a few times, the L2 and R2 trigger buttons start to get loose and even one tap on one of those buttons will activates it. Thats how mine is, and its very annoying
Haha, I can imagine you playing Uncharted 2 with your controller. Just one tap of the R2 and you throw a grenade… depending of the camera angle that can kill you a lot, huh?
