I think the addition of instant messaging text chat is great.. it's completely annoying constantly writing up new messages.. and then waiting for replies.. PS3 IM = GREAT ADDITION!
However the rest of the updates are pretty crap and its unfortunate the rumours weren't entirely true.
I believe Sony needs to spend a LOT MORE TIME working on OS improvements.. there is so much they could achieve.. and the PS3 has so much potential. Please for the love of god take away the shitty hypervisor on Linux etc.. so Linux development on PS3 can be improved. I want a Cell verision of a H.264 encoding program madeup.. but coz theres no interest in PS3 Linux.. there is none available.
