February 2, 2009 at 6:56 pm #20928PS3 TrophiesKeymasterYou go to: Settings – Video Output Settings – Select the connection you use – Custom – Chose 720p – Save.

February 3, 2009 at 12:01 am #20944shadeblackParticipantdoes your tv support 1080p?
the above solution will set all video output to 720p. not just the menu. my TV auto detects when there is a change in the resolution then tells me what it's on, but if yours doesn't, and you want 1080p for a particular game, you'll have to set your video output to 1080p again.
February 3, 2009 at 2:09 am #20946parnakasMemberyea my t.v automatically changes to 720p for games that can only go that high.
are u sure ur t.v is capable of 1080p?
February 3, 2009 at 2:14 am #20947edge4eva32MemberYeah my tv does the same thing by automatically changing from resolution to resolution based on individual games.

my tv does exactaly the same but it insn compatible with 1080p but the menu still goes to that resolution and ps3trophies didn't find those mesus at all i went to BD/DVD video output i was in automatic and i could change to RBG of some crazy name with Ys and numbers but i coudn't choose a resolution and the tv goes 1080p for mgs4 and skate 2 demo too but the other games not even those compatible with 1080p like Cod 4
February 3, 2009 at 6:08 pm #20950shadeblackParticipanti see. in that case i guess it's probably for the best if you do set it to 720p. most games are 720p anyway, so it's not really much loss.

This is only effective on some Displays! And the difference isn't “unbelievable” :), it's most effective on less expensive LCD's and PC-like displays .
February 3, 2009 at 8:10 pm #20951Hurley48Memberhey no prop any hehe i found it by myself i was on “Display” menu now its set on 1080i sorry if wasted some people time but ijust found out now
February 3, 2009 at 8:54 pm #20948KILLER369Memberps3 trophies: really??? i only used it 1ce wen i started saints row 2. i used it all day and it was better than my average 1080p im using now. it was so strong that wen i went to sleep images of me sooting peds on saints row 2 were imprinted into my mind and woke me up. i was up all night with a bad migraine and sickness. and it never happens wen i use the average setting.
