Great… So i wonder how long after everyone else is online Sony will wait to send out these e-mails?? I've had several Ps3's, some I've deactivated and a couple i haven't, i hope this doesn't turn out to be another 'P!ss about'!!
——-
So 5pm has come and gone But Sony PSN Ireland tweeted, or whatever, earlier today that PSN would be restored by Sunday… So i guess it's just a waiting game now… And it seems from what i read that I'll need the e-mail to change my password…
That's going to be my problem as well. My main account was on my first 60GB model. I'm now on my fourth…
May 15, 2011 at 7:05 pm #69744Doc-BMemberTo answer my own question… It seems that when you sign in it tells you your password is no longer valid, and sends an auto e-mail with all the relevant information… Nice!

May 15, 2011 at 7:09 pm #69743Seibei4211MemberIt's not a big deal. I've got just two accounts on my original PS3 here, but for some reason I had to use both methods to get both accounts changed. The email takes a while to get to your inbox since so many are being sent right now, but it'll get there and it's pretty easy.
May 15, 2011 at 7:44 pm #69747kingofgames73Memberwell, im back online 😛 hoorah!
May 15, 2011 at 7:55 pm #69748Doc-BMemberThat's better
Seems you can reset your password from whatever Ps3 you were using before it went down… Asked me for a new code then signed in no prob's…
Problem over it would seem
May 15, 2011 at 9:09 pm #69749emdeepeeMember114 trophies and I'm still only level 19. Have to say I'm slightly gutted. Bit of an anti-climax too
May 16, 2011 at 8:18 am #69757emdeepeeMemberJust noticed I seem to have lost around 4gb on my HDD since the install yesterday!! Whatever it takes though I suppose.

And to think i actually liked you
Are you kidding… Seriously?? It might seem slightly alluring to some people, who have no games or money, but i think its a joke!!
Infamous(2009) is a DL game… So no trade in value there I'm afraid. Plus you could prob. get it for £5 in any 'bargain bin'… I think most people already have??
Wipeout HD… I bought this at launch about 3 years ago or something, this is a fav. of Sony to punt on people… Like everyone is gonna be like “WOW, this game looks good… I just forgot all about the last few weeks”
R&C:QFB is fun… But hardly a 'game'?!
Dead Nation I already own
LBP(2008) – If I didn't buy it then i don't really want it now… And it'll prob end up being a DL
Two PSP games… Well… Thanks for something that i can't use i guess?
Sony back at it's best… At sucking balls. Poor.
May 17, 2011 at 2:38 am #69762I773D33MABL3MemberHave to say I'm strongly agreeing with the Doc. That is a paltry looking list.
Anybody on PS+ already has LBP and Wipeout HD and probably picked up Dead Nation on discount.
Quest for Booty is worth a bash but without trophy support it's not going to warrant too much time.
And I think everybody and their granny's cat bought inFamous when it was released.
I was hoping for something new, only one of those games was released in the last two years. Something isn't really a 'freebie' when they've already made their money from it.
It was the core gamers that were hit most by the outage, and they buy what they want on release. A clutch of bargain basket titles is poor recompense. I have all five games so this doesn't benefit me at all.
May 17, 2011 at 3:40 am #69763HardAndSloppyMemberwell i only found it “awesome” because i get infamous again, and i was gonna buy it again anyways, and here in canada it is $30 so it saves me, and i dont have wipeout or as they also announced super stardust (instead of ratchet and clank).so its good for me, sorry it isnt for u guys. i agree they should have given out a game unreleased to the psn, or like a few months free of dc universe online or something.
May 17, 2011 at 7:32 am #69764dizzel22MemberHaha i don't know why you guys are upset , i'm suprised we get anything at all. Anyone who thinks that they took something that we paid for away is wrong , you paid for the PS3 and they provided us with a free service. They really don't owe us sh!t.
I'm just happy to be able to play online again.
May 17, 2011 at 8:06 am #69765emdeepeeMemberLets be honest. If they'd offered us a choice between Mortal Kombat, LA Noire, Dirt 3, Portal 2 and Killzone 3 we'd have still found something to complain about (its human nature after all ).
I'd have to agree with dizzel on this one. Yes its been an inconvenience, but as its a free service and the only people who have missed out (in a financial sense) are the PS+ subscribers.
You can argue about the loss of your personal data and card details etc but the US are providing $1m worth of identity insurance with the other territories trying to provide something similar. I've been the victim of identity theft through paypal, as I'm sure thousands of other people have been and unfortunately its a downside to living in the digital age. Yes it was data theft on an unprecented scale, but these are the times we live in. Shit happens, get on with it!!
I stream movies through my lovefilm account, but I'm certainly not gonna contact them and demand a free month just because of what has happened!!
Lets just be happy that we've got the service back and get back to doing what we enjoy!!
