I have a lot of nothing time at the moment, but I am not at home so cannot use the time to play my PS3. What I want is a top class RPG for my PSP Go. It has to be downloadable from PSN of course, due to the lack of UMD drive in the Go.
I've been looking through the grand selection of 15 RPGs the PS Store has to offer, and I have to say nothing is reaching out and grabbing me. A few have appealed to me, but nothing is making me want to part with my cash. The ones that look that might be alright are;
Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days
Innocent Life
Astonishia story
And one that is not listed as an RPG;
Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite
I've been googling and googling and Disgaea 2 looks to be popular along with MH of course. Problem is, I'm not too sure. I was hoping some of you here might have played these games so I can hear first hand how they are. What I want is something that I can level up my character(s) and am able to give them new armour and weapons. I know this is possible in most of the titles I said but not all, for example the Disgaea titles have this option. It should be a game that lasts a long time, again, Disgaea is a very long game.
Monster Hunter, however, is played by my friends so I could Ad-Hoc with them for various things. I have also played the demo and it is pretty fun :3
I just much prefer hearing from people how games are, rather that journalistic reviews. Metacritic is a good place to go because it the cumulative score of games, which is a very smart way of doing things. But it's cumulative of lots of biased reviews and sites. If anyone could help however, it'd be greatly appreciated. It's alright if you can't I'll have to turn to Metacritic and various 'net reviews.

-its also great as once you kill the moster you can use items from there corpse to make swords and armour and (its also fun with friends online , I don't own the new one only the previous 2 )
-the one thing against is the load times they can be very long and test your patience
-also ff7 and ff7 crisis core are both great games

Its not really anything new, or revolutionary, but it probably the most solid RPG on the PS Store. I would really recommend checking that one out.
But Monster Hunter is also a pretty sweet game, but the load times are just ridiculous. At some points, you'll think the game froze. But if that doesn't bother you, than go for it.
Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days is also awesome, everyone seems to love this one. I think its great, but I enjoyed playing Brave Story a little bit more.
