uhhh WipEout HD anyone? yeah, its hover crafts instead of cars, but damn, it takes mad skill and reaction time. Great game, great graphics, incredibly challenging, and at a great price. I don't play it as much as I should, but I think thats more or less because I spent such an ungodly amount of time with the classics when I was younger.Â
Burnout Paradise is slammin'. The best deal on PSN. Especially now that theres a DLC bundle (I think, if its not here yet, its coming).
ModNation racers is shaping up nicely. My only complaint is the extremely long load times… however, what I played was a beta. If they fix that for the final release, it should be a really nice kart racer.
GT5 – well, you just can't go wrong with Gran Turismo. This is going to blow every other racer out of the water. Makes me wish I had more money, time, and less desire to maintain a social life.
I haven't really played any other racers for the PS3, but I think between the four I just named, you should be able to find something you like. Thats everything from casual to hardcore right there.
there's a serious amount of trophies and dlc for it too
