Err guys i hate to tell you this but Sony initial idea of the ps3 being a 10 year console was scrapped if i remember correctly. The PS4 is due 2012-2014 is what Sony are saying at the moment. The main reason i believe is that Apple are supposedly coming into the console war along with Xbox 720 or whatever there going to call it wait heres a good name how about Epic Fail?

Kingofgames73: Even if it was 2012-2014 then thats still about 7 yrs, the ps2 was realeased in 2000… so thats had a good 7-8 yrs of fame…

lol at the epic fail, so damn true lol

but the idea of the 10 year console for the ps3 was NOT scrapped. PS3 has the technology to last 10 years. Sony did not say the PS4 was coming in 2012-2014. Sony said they will continue to support the PS3 and PSP until they are outdated, which is 2016-2018 according to SONY.

Im also interested to hear what they name the new XBOX as well. It cant be the “XBOX 720”, cuz that would mean they have just gone in a circle and changed nothing . Also, I wouldn't be to worried about an APPLE game console…bc like IPODs and MAC books, the parts will be proprietary. Which means that Apple will dictate the prices for those extra controllers and what not (note: If u dont know how much they charge for parts and stuff…check their website or go to one of there stores…OMG!!!!!). Im sure the PS3 will be fine, but will admit that i believe they came in a little late…

give it 2 or 3 yrs n 360 will fail…. to B replaced by apple? maybe.

but playstation has beeten EVERYTHING so a dum ass retarded company such as apple (who have zero XP in consoles lol) will probably fail. but who knows

I wouldnt kick Apple out the console war yet after all which company had no experience with phones but then made the Iphone which is up there with the best phones ever made (even though the phone and componments cost way to much). But still the PS3/PS4 will still own lol

Apples making a console? WTF! That will probably be the biggest FAIL known to mankind. Actually it wouldnt be a fail it be higher. Something like Ultra Uber Super Omega Infinity OwnedFail.
