ive heard rumours of the PSP 4000 becoming a phone and also having a touch screen. But i think there is a PSP phone in Japan not sure but im pretty sure they are making one

hmmm. samsung and sony? well, their close competitors in the home entertainment area. but i cant see samsung joining sony.

but if samsung did launch a console then PS4/PS5 would eventually kik the living shit out of it. like its doin to MICROSOFT’s (was the biggest company in the world, worth 100’s of billions of dollars.) Xbox.

every console PS have came up against, theyve obliterated, i mean PS1 ended the original console war in under 3 years, whereas nintendo, sega & atari fought for ages. (dnt kno how long (was too young lol))

because sega nintendo and atari were also making games…so in a sense the battle was really between sonic and mario , it wasnt so much about the technical side of things. and atari was blown away pretty quick anyways. (almost like they stopped making consoles with the 80s…) and turned into publishers.

i'll tell you one thing though : if ANYBODY wants me to buy their console , it better come with a Dualshock because i WILL NOT play with any of the bs controllers that are out there. eh microsoft ?

i saw at ign daily fix that m$ is developing a new xbox already which only shows how they know that ps3 is starting to win at least thats my opinion….because already? is 4 years right? a m$ device really doesn't seen to last longer.

if apple made a console, it could actually be pretty good. All of their other products are very good, like macbooks, and iPods. The iPod touch and iPhone have a lot of awesome downloadable games, and amazing apps. I download more stuff of the APP store then PSN….

If samsung made a console, that could be a fail because they have no experience with any kinds of games….. If apple and samsung both came out with a console, i would go with APPLE, just because of all the cool stuff they have on iPod Touch and iPhone…

Don't the majority of the Apps that you can get for the Iphone cost money? I have a friend that has an Itouch and he has a bunch of Apps for it. I admit they are pretty cool Apps and all, but the majority of the apps people download are only used once. I think that Apple will do the same thing with their console…Charge money for useless Apps…

i use my apps A LOT more than just once
maybe because i only buy apps that i need/want, i dont buy ALL of the apps
the games especially have high replay value for a $5 download.

apps vary in price, some are 99 cents, some are $5

As far as pointless apps, it all depends on what your personal taste, there is an app for everyone. I find the app where i can program the name of a restaurant, and it will tell me where the closest location is no matter where i am. I also love the app that you shake your iPod Touch/iPhone and it lands on a random restaurant, for when you cant decide where to eat. Some people may find that pointless, but i love it.

My favourite app though is probably the one where if you are listening to the radio, and a song comes on, but you forget what it is and its pissing you off, then you just put your iPod Touch/iPhone up to the speaker, and it will tell you what song it is, who sings it, and where to buy it. its awesome lol

Thats pretty sweet! Do u think that Apple will do the same thing to their console. For example, make the games like the downloadable apps, or just make discs?

The games are bound to be discs after all could could you imagine trying trying to download something like fallout 3 “shudder” it takes long enough to just download demos. Also if you were to make every game a download if it did get hacked people would be getting the games for free (bit like the psp and ds only on a bigger scale)

yeah that would be pretty long…but i can only imagine how Apple is going to approach the gaming community and make a name for themselves.

same they do everything : go for the fashion victims.

now dont bother posting 'cause you have a iphone ipod or a mac. the mac beats the pc for professional users (graphic design , whatever) but check like the ibook or the design strategy they had with G4 , and the ipod …well lets just say eff itunes. and the iphone…is a phone.no,dog,its a phone.u might enjoy it , but its a phone. esp. the ipod , they're fashion and style statements.

how do you target apple fans with a console?

– making it white
– cost four times as much as most products (ive bought a nice little MP4 player for £30.00 last year)
-putting a apple icon on the side
-sell apps thatl be expensive as the games
-and put catchy adverts on the tv
i think that should atract the true apple fans
