I'm interested as to when Dawnguard will become available on Ps3!?

'Bethesda says that performance issues are still holding back the Dawnguard DLC's release on the PS3' – T3
Well fcuk you very much for releasing a pretty broken, into tiny pieces it would seem, game in the first place, did Bethesda play the game for a couple of hours on Ps3 then think 'Yup, seems ok?'…
I'm kinda happy I sold my copy when I did rather than wait for the DLC… If it ever makes it onto Ps3?
August 29, 2012 at 10:37 pm #72218scotty243MemberI thought you had liked Skyrim?
Anyways, I thought this game was relatively boring and every time I try to play it on the PC (played a little on PS3), I can never get into it. Oh, and is it me or is every sidequest the same?? Locate this thing, walk a long time, find a dungeon, kill this and that, then return for a reward? Bullshit…
September 1, 2012 at 5:53 pm #72237Doc-BMemberI really enjoyed the game… I didn't enjoy all the problems that came with it though
I've never had to stop playing a game for three month for a dev. to 'fix it' before… And based on the other Bethesda RPG's I doubt that Skyrim will ever be 100% fixed and working properly…
The reason I'm glad I sold it though, rather than wait the couple of months and '30 days after X-Box', was to keep the value of it… I got my 180hours+ out of it and a good resale price so I'm not complaining…

Well… I might complain a little about this…

The fact that any Skyrim DLC might never be released on Ps3 unless it comes out as a GOTY edition… Weak…
September 3, 2012 at 2:11 am #72255scotty243MemberI don't really find the point of this DLC at all. It seems as if this should be a free update?? And even in some ways, I'm curious as why this wasn't included in the main game? Questions that will never be answered…
For the actual DLC “never” being released, I find that to be absolute bullshit… I hate how companies do give free stuff to PS3 or 360 but neither get both of it. It only punishes the gamers more for not having this or that in order to play what they want.
September 3, 2012 at 7:40 pm #72264Doc-BMemberI don't agree that all DLC should be free…
Most of it should be free though… It's all superficial stuff that used to be unlocked in game anyway? Costumes, weapons and pish… Anyone else noticed games seem to have swapped in-game content for trophies… That gun you used to get for completing the game is now a gold trophy and some 'uber-weapons DLC' for £2.49… Poor show… And I don't really play games that need 'map packs', that sh!t just seems mad… And expensive…
Some of the SP 'campaign' DLC for games has been alright though? If it's a decent chunk of gameplay that extends on the story and the price is good then i'm happy to pay for it… DLC isn't all bad…
In the days before 'teh Internet' on PlayStation, dev's had to cram as much into a game, making sure said game had zero glitches and would keep gamers coming back for more before they released it… Any ideas they couldn't put into a game would have to wait for a sequel, if they even got a chance to make one, no sneaky SP DLC for 'X' amount of months…Once it was out there they could only sit back and watch, I think they just had to try a bit harder? If they wanted to be the best they only really got one shot…
Now they seem to be more worried about release dates… It's a joke the amount of 'patching' that goes on with games these days, wtf!? Every time I put in a game there's something to DL before i can play it… Anyone who had a Ps or Ps2, just think about it… That shows you how sloppy everything is today, and the Skyrim debacle is the cherry on top of the sh!theap…

I'm not overly annoyed or anything, it's just a bit of an inconvenience… I'm not going to rush out and buy an x-box just to play some DLC, it just seems a bit of a joke that it appears to be quite a big problem… One they can't just patch, in the 'architecture' of the game if there is such a thing, fcuk knows
Look out for big exclusives on the next Bethesda game for Ps3, doubt it
September 4, 2012 at 12:55 am #72265scotty243MemberI don't think all DLC should be free either but there should be a limit for what you pay for and how much you pay for. Pieces of SP DLC for $14.99 that provide a 2 hour experience is wank… And the same goes for this DLC that (I think…) is priced at $9.99 just to build a house and have a family.
It is sloppy these days, isn't it? To have games like let's say, Halo, be packed with so much offline and the replayability for it being super high was great but not we have to have planned DLC come out with just a few maps and survival game modes. Some games even come with 5-6 game modes and you have to pay extra to get a few more modes??! There is a fine line to cross when it comes to payed DLC and free DLC; I believe most if not all DLC that is availible on PSN should be free because it's essentially the same thing over and over…
September 7, 2012 at 4:55 pm #72279Doc-BMemberThere are far worse things you can, have and will spend your money on man… I don't buy much off the PSN in the way of DLC, just SP DLC for some of the 'bigger' games…
The thing is $15 is like £10, and a tenner ain't that bad… Unless you're 'on the dole', then it's heaps
If it was £15 then I might agree a bit more, but I think most of the DLC on EU PSN is like £8-12, but I might be wrong?
January 29, 2013 at 2:24 am #72844scotty243MemberI'm surprised no one has talked about the whole Bethesda Skyrim DLC released coming next month, I think? That's great for some, but horrible for my completion rate
January 29, 2013 at 3:49 am #72847KriggsMemberWhen i actually see the DLC for sale in the store that's when I'll get excited. Then I'll buy it wait for 3 months at least for them to fix the ps3 crippling bugs in it and then play it
