IMO older games were made much better… There was no Internet to 'patch' glitches… No MP to keep you playing for hours… If a game was bad or broken, it had no fix and it's reputation was ruined.
The only things that are better about games in reality these days are their graphics and size… All the 'new ideas' of gaming happened in the 80's and 90's.. All you get nowadays are old ideas but with a face-lift and a little 'tweak' here and there.
If people could look past the visuals, you could re-release at least 50% of Ps2 games and they would still be good. Sony could make so much money from remastering old games.
On the front of the PoP trilogy it says 'Classic HD' – I'm hoping this is the branding for a new 'collection' of games coming out for Ps3. Like the Plat. collection for Ps2; I know that was for selling copies but if they were good enough and sold that much on for the Ps2 why not Ps3. Not via PSN but a full remake with new extras…
