Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection/SEGA MEGA DRIVE Ultimate Collection
Both Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection and SEGA MEGA DRIVE Ultimate Collection are the same game so this guide is for both. The trophies can be obtained through the use of the old games’ cheat codes without disabling trophies. Also you can save the game at any point while you’re playing and I suggest saving frequently on some of the tougher games like Dr. Robotnik’s MBM. Don’t be shy with saving!!! One more thing, you can make every game easier by going to the options and tweaking them. So before starting up each game go to the options put the controls in ABC mode (you’ll need it in ABC mode for the games with cheats), put the max lives to the highest, and put the difficulty on the easiest. For any questions you can leave a post here or send me a message on the PS3. My PSN ID is CoryAllen. Enjoy the guide!

Platinuminary (Platinum!)
Earn all other trophies for Sonic’s Collection.
Get Rich (Bronze)
Alex Kidd: Collect 1,000 in currency
Ok as soon as you start the 1st level, start counting the palm trees. There’s one you start in front of and 2 right after the house. Jump just to the right of the 2nd tree a few times and you’ll fall into a room full of treasure. Open all the chests and kill all of the enemies except one. When you open every chest down there let that guy kill you. You can do this as long as you want because there is an extra life chest down there.
Don’t Die (Bronze)
Alien Storm: Reach Mission 3 without losing a life
Beat the first 2 missions. Don’t use your special attacks until you get to the big bad boss and this should be easy.
Enter the Beast (Bronze)
Altered Beast: Collect 100,000 pts or higher by the end of the first level
All you have to do to get 100,000+ points is defeat all your enemies and when a wolf attacks you kill it before it can escape. If you kill all 3 the 1st time you see them, when you defeat the boss you’ll have this trophy.
Holy Water (Bronze)
Beyond Oasis: Unlock the Water Spirit
Start the level. Head north until you fight some enemies. Afterwards you’ll have a chat with someone and end up outside a building. Head left towards the castle until you get there and find the king and queen. Leave the castle. Then use your map to get to the flag which is where the water spirit is. Kill the enemies in the temple and save the spirit.
Stealing Points (Bronze)
Bonanza Brothers: Reach 40,000 points on the first level
This can be obtained on the 1st level. Start by getting all of the items that you’re supposed to get, when you get all of items and it tells you to exit you should be on the far left of the top floor. Position yourself so you’re in between 3 cops and shoot them constantly. If you run out of time go back to this place and repeat this process until you get the trophy.
Easy as Pie (Bronze)
Columns: Get 20,000 points only on Easy Mode
2nd hardest trophy in the game. You can do this in arcade mode which is the easiest mode because it has hints for 3 levels so use this mode. To start, stack jewels to the far left and far right until they reach the top and your next set of jewels is a blinking gold set of jewels. Put them in the middle on the ground and you’ll get 10,000 points. The rest you have to just work to get. I suggest saving the game often. Also you can pause the game and still see the jewels so use pauses to plan your next move.
Hardly a Hero (Bronze)
Comix Zone: Complete first episode
This is a tough game without using the invincibility cheat so if you want the easy way then go to the options in the main menu and select jukebox. Hit O on these numbers: 3, 12, 17, 2, 2, 10, 2, 7, 7, 11. You should hear someone say “Oh yeah!” if you did this right.
Get Ahead (Bronze)
Decap Attack: Collect 5 Bonus Coins
Here are the first 5 coins and what level to find them on:
1.1 – the 1st coin is right beneath where you start. Follow the path straight ahead until you can go down. Fall down and walk left. There will be two statues; one has the coin.
1.1 – Continue on you way past the big orange spring in the ground next to a bridge. You'll soon have to climb up a little cave/mountain area after that. Keep moving to the right and eventually you'll get to a bridge with a statue right after it and another bridge following that statue. That statue has a coin.
1.2 – You'll start the level in a kind of narrow pit. You'll be forced to climb your way up and out of this to continue; Keep climbing until you eventually reach an area where there are bouncing arrows pointing left and right to propel you upwards. You'll have a choice of using them or not. Use them to bounce your way up. They will eventually lead you to a ledge with two statues. One of them has a coin in it.
1.3 – Keep to the bottom path for most of the level. You will have to cross several lava pits until you reach your destination on the far left hand side of the stage. You'll know you're in the right place when you cross two consecutive lava pits with a steep dip in the path between them. Right after that, you'll have to climb up a huge slope. Climb up until you see a ledge to your right and one of those walking skull enemies. Jump onto the ledge and work your way directly upwards. At the top there will be a statue with a coin.
1.3 – Immediately after collecting the previous coin you'll have to continue to the left again. Do so until you reach the end of the path. You'll now see a bunch of arrow blocks pointing to the left, and a bunch of cloud platforms in the sky. Jump downwards, following the arrow blocks to the bottom. You'll see a statue right below them, next to a bridge. Your last coin is inside.
If you miss one of these coins don’t worry. After you defeat the boss and start 2.1 there’ll be a coin in the statue right next to where you start.
Communication is Key (Bronze)
Ecco: Talk to another dolphin
Just talk to a dolphin. Too easy right?
Taste Like Tuna (Bronze)
Ecco: The Tides of Time: Eat 200 fish
This trophy is just boring. Swim around eating fish until you get the trophy. You don’t have to eat 200 in one sitting.
Suit up (Bronze)
E-SWAT: Obtain the Combat Suit (Complete Mission 2)
This one you just have to beat 2 levels. Turn auto-fire on, put the lives to max, and go for it.
Don’t Get Lost (Bronze)
Fatal Labyrinth: Progress to the fifth level of the labyrinth
The labyrinths are completely randomized so there is no way to get help on this trophy because the mazes are unpredictable. Luckily it’s easy to beat the 1st four levels. 4 sets of stairs=1 trophy.
Getting Chicks (Bronze)
Flicky: Collect 80,000 points
This will take about 5 levels depending on how many chicks you exit at one time. On each level collect as many chicks at one time as you can. The more you take to the exit at one time, the more points you get for the chicks. Take all the chicks in the exit for a few levels and you’ll get this.
Garden Gnomes (Silver)
Golden Axe: Collect 20 magic power-ups
Just kill the thieves which are those small cloaked people and take the pots they drop. After a few levels you’ll have 20 pots.
Tower Up (Silver)
Golden Axe II: Complete Tower Level
Beat the first 3 levels.
Saved by Magic (Gold)
Golden Axe III: Use magic 10 times
Kill the thieves, collect their magic, and use it 10 times.
TGIF (Silver)
Kid Chameleon: Collect Maniaxe
The Maniaxe is in Highwater Pass II. It’s directly below where you start. Go right and drop down then go left for a bit and when you finally go up the slope and see 4 blocks above you it’s in one of them.
Twinkle Twinkle (Bronze)
Ristar: Collect 5 Yellow Stars
Here are the locations to the first 5 yellow stars:
Round 1 – Continue past the beginning to the point where you land in a pit full of flying dandelion seeds. Grab one and fly with it to the highest ledge. Inside the chest there is a star.
Round 1 – Continue on your way until you reach the snake boss. Once you defeat him a star is at the very top of the tic-tac-toe shaped arena.
Round 1.5 – Keep to the highest path and follow it to the right. Eventually you'll reach an area with a tree you need to hit. Knock it down and cross it. Beyond that there will be a drop off only there are rungs in the roof above it if you want to stay on the upper path. Grab the rungs and cross to the other side. There will be a chest with a star there.
Round 2 – As soon as the level begins hit the wall on your right. The water will rise. Swim to the very top. At the very top of the water there will be an area above the water to your right that you can walk on. Follow it to the right avoiding the flying fish that try to attack you. Once you reach water again, look above you. The roof will be made out of rocks but there will be a pink pillar-like object jutting out from the roof. Ignore the first pink pillar, Hop in the water, and swim to the second one right beside it. Whack the second pillar with your head and a yellow star will fall from the pillar.
Round 2 – Literally right below the one you just grabbed. Swim down and there will be a chest. Break it open for the last star.
Yatta! (Gold)
Dr. Robotnik’s M.B.M.: Complete the game
The hardest trophy in the game. The code to get to the last level is: yellow, happy bean, blue, blue. Ok this takes skill; the only tip I can give you is to save when you have low stones and beans and his are high. Also loading the same game save over a few times and playing it makes it easier for you to make a good move because you learn where to move to make a huge combo of stones. The game AI on this game is terrible too. Some times when playing the exact same part over and over Robotnik will put all of the beans in the middle causing it to be easier to win. Also you can’t pause the game to make your move like with columns but you can press select to pull up the save game menu and use it the same way as columns to plan your move. So try hard, hope for a little luck.
True Ninja Skills (Silver)
Shinobi III: Complete first level without using continues
Instead of continues use game saves.
Complete Chaos (Bronze)
Sonic The Hedgehog: Obtain a Chaos Emerald
Finish the 1st level with 50 rings and you’ll see a massive ring at the end of the level. Jump into the ring and it’ll bring you to a bonus level. On the left there’ll be an emerald surrounded by some breakable cubes, hit the cubes until they break and grab the emerald. I’d suggest saving as soon as you enter the bonus level.
A Different Tail (Gold)
Sonic 3: Collect 100 rings with Tails anywhere on Angel Island Zone
When starting the game you select your character. Pick Tails and go at it. Collect 100 and you have it.
Flicky to the Rescue (Bronze)
Sonic 3D Blast: Rescue 20 Flickies.
Basically just play through the game. After a few levels the trophy is yours. After beating level 2 you should have 20 rescued.
Lots of Zeros (Gold)
Sonic Spinball: Get 10,000,000 points in the first level
Just beat the crap out of anything that gives you points and try not to get to the boss too soon. Beat up the worms and try to avoid the toxic sewer because it’s the easiest place to die. Save often for in case you die. You should get this trophy easy. I did it without ever dying.
Get to the Chopper (Silver)
Super Thunder Blade: Score over 1,500,000 points in the first level
Turn on auto-fire and move in a circular motion and you’ll destroy everything with no effort. All you have to do is avoid oncoming enemy fire. You should get the trophy right before landing on the carrier which is the end of the level.
Three Times a Charm (Bronze)
Streets of Rage: Complete 1st Level using all 3 characters
Beat the 1st level, reset, and choose a different character.
Good Day Mate (Silver)
Streets of Rage 3: Unlock Roo the Kangaroo as a playable character
Beat the 1st stage. Progress through the second and at the end of the stage you should face Roo and his clown master. Beat the clown and Roo will run off thereby unlocking him. DO NOT TRY TO KILL ROO! If you are having trouble getting to Roo without having to start over, then do this: pick skate as your player and as soon as you start the first level you will be attacked by enemies. Don’t touch them and let them kill you. You’ll come back as super skate. He swings faster and harder making the game much easier to progress through.
Super Charged (Silver)
VectorMan: Collect 500 photons
This takes a lot of time and lives so check to makes sure you are in ABC mode and start by entering the options menu and putting in this code: A, B, B, A, Down, A, B, B, A. This’ll bring you to a debug menu. Turn your lives to 99, your health to 10, and leave the starting stage as level 1. Now go collect. If you do pretty good with collecting you should get the trophy around level 6. You do not have to get all 500 in one sitting it’s accumulative.
Can You Dig It? (Silver)
VectorMan 2: Reach Scene 11
You can either play through all of those levels or enter this code: Up, Right, A, B, A, Down, Left, A, Down. This brings up a level select menu. Pick level 10 and skate through this short level to get the trophy.
Blast Processing (Silver)
Play all Genesis™ Titles
Just play each game. Click on each one and as soon as the SEGA part appears exit and go to the next game.
Master the System (Silver)
Unlock Everything
No Life (Silver)
Watch Every Video
Watch a few seconds of each video, exit, and go to the next one.
Critique (Silver)
View all Artwork
Look at each game’s artwork. Make sure to check out the cartridge and the box art both.
Only in the ’80s (Silver)
Play all Arcade Titles
To do this you need to 1st go to Sonic 2 and beat the first boss with two players. Then play all the games you unlocked by getting all the above trophies.
June 13, 2009 at 1:33 am #28079dizzel22MemberAlready done this but this is a really good guide guide wish i had this when i first played MBM , that game sucks so much .
June 13, 2009 at 1:44 am #28076CoryAllenMemberlol yeah i'm sure most have done this game already. i'm doing guides on some old games now and i'll do newer ones as i finish these. better late than never though lol. you could use this guide if you're a trophy whore and buy the other version of this game just to get another platinum lol. i've been considering it. oh and yes MBM sucks big time!!! and you'd have to be bionic to beat that game on hard lol
June 13, 2009 at 4:44 pm #28144parnakasMemberCoryAllen : how the hell are you posting all these guides? are they 100% original? Or are you taking stuff off other sites?
June 13, 2009 at 4:48 pm #28147CoryAllenMemberi am making these on my own. 100% original. i just have a crap ton of spare time this week. if you have noticed i'm on this site all day every day which verifies that. the only thing that i did not personally do was the videos on uncharted and i have permission for those. it's not hard to type out what you did to get a trophy for 30-50 trophies in an entire day. this is all CoryAllen right here. i wouldn't waste my time doing the guides if i was just going to copy them from other sites.
June 13, 2009 at 4:51 pm #28149parnakasMemberCorayallen, cool stuff man. I just wanted to make sure you werent stealing. Anyway, your guides are a great contribution to this site!!

I just got a little bit of input, with the trophy for Vectorman 2 you can simply use the debug menu to go straight to level 11 and the trophy will unlock as that is how i obtained it.
