U can't do that playsing SC unless U pause it. My wife love the Sims series so I know a thing or 2. U won't regret it. There is a lot things to do and another expansion is on the way.
AS for Splinter Cell it is nothing like the best first part but I can;t say anything else as I do not play it yet.
May 4, 2010 at 3:02 am #61666parnakasMemberWell, I have played through Splinter Cell, almost done (My cousins 360), and in my honest opinion, it is just a solid game. Its ok. I mean, its nothing amazing, and its not bad, its just solid. The gameplay is good, the story is meh, and the graphics are meh. It really strays away from classic Splinter Cell, and goes more into the action genre (bad move if you ask me). Its def a good purchase, but i can't see anyone playing through this game more than two times.
With that said, Sims 3 will last you forever. If you liked the other Sims games, you'll love Sims 3, as its pretty much the same thing, with some new stuff as always. I haven't played it yet, but if its similar to Sims 2, then its probably pretty good. I know Sims games last a long time, and can be really fun.
So, if I were you, looking for a long-lasting, fun game, I would go with Sims 3.
May 4, 2010 at 5:44 pm #61672KnoxieMemberhavent checked out sims 3 but of the splinters cell conviction demo, it is really good and i want it. i think the graphics are quite good, the moves you can perform on people are great and the controls are good. my brother said there is this thing online where its you versus another person and you need to rack up as many kills as you can against the CPU as well as killing the opposition player and its fun.
hopefully i'll get SC:C and i'll be able to tell you more but i suggest you look further into it.
May 4, 2010 at 8:22 pm #61679Antony19MemberOk i have decided to take both of them i want sims 3 so it will keep me a long time and sprinter cell for a more Stleathy gameplay. And also do you believe that the review of ign was fair?
May 4, 2010 at 11:14 pm #61675parnakasMemberIGN review? It was alright. I'm not a fan of their reviews anyway, i think they are way to long, and never really get to the point of what they are trying to say.
Just keep in mind, Splinter Cell is about 5 hours long for the single-player, and about 5 hours long in co-op. I know this because I'm on the last chapter, and I have a total play time of 4+ Hours. The online was pretty solid too, but again, nothing really amazing, and it can get pretty dry.
But be warned, if you are a big fan of the old Splinter Cell games, you might not like this one. It completely leaves its roots behind, and aims for the typical action game, with some stealth elements. The stealth gameplay is no where near as deep as it was on the older games.
But still, it is a fun game, and i think you should try it out. I would say a rent though, as it doesn't last very long.
