Tester

People making tit's of themselves, forced to live with people they don't really know, doing stupid stunts and quizzes on national television, in a bid to get saved the boot from, let's guess… Two good judges and the “mean” one – new formula for ya there folks… All in aid to get some job? Humiliation? Emotional roller-coaster? What…

 That's my kinda show, lol… I def do something like this if i got the chance. Total wipe-out,big brother and PlayStation blended into one show… I prob won't watch it unless they post the episodes up on the net….

I almost submitted to be in this… and then realized having my personality trivialized into a bunch of video bytes and broadcasted across the nation was my worst nightmare.  Being a tester is a great way to break into the business, apparently, but it doesn't seem like a great prize for any contest.  Seems more like a simple interview should determine whether or not I have the ability to realize when a game is glitching and when its not. 

@Yokumo – that cartoon strip is dead on. 

Also, anyone whos participated in a beta recently already knows part of what its like to be a tester – if you reported your bugs, you just did their job for free.  The only real difference is that some testers already played it to eliminate the bigger bugs you didn't see.  Seems like a really frustrating job to me.
