Yo BigWoop, You totally ignored my post man! I agree with you though. I'm sure that not everyone is ONLY allowed to get 1 game for christmas and therefore they will buy MW2 and nothing else. I'm also sure there are loads of people that don't want MW2 and wanted other games for christmas that they now, cannot have. 

Just check out that link I posted and read the article and check the rest of the site if you want. gr8jrfan's initial post that started this topic is correct (probably not the examples he listed later) but it is crazy how many companies have delayed their games specifically because of MW2 or other “heavy competition” this season.

@barkiemailman – I didn't mean for it to come off that way, but I did read that article.  The developer I referred to as admitting to fearing the competition was the guys creating Singularity.  I'm really dissapointed that they say this, because I had high hopes for this game.  It looks like they have a good concept to add to the already saturated FPS genre, and thats what its going to take to make it in this market and not get shut out by MW2.  However, when they say they need to delay the game because of MW2, I fear it will go the way of Fracture, where they have a good concept that is poorly executed.  If their gameplay is solid, and the time shifting ability is fully integrated with the enemies, environment, and story, they should have everything they need to put out a great game and make the sales.  With that statement though, I become very skeptical of their product.  It screams “this is half assed, and we're gonna wait until its less obvious”.

BTW, I didn't see the previous articles regarding other developers admitting to the fear of competition.  How do I get to those?

Ok, MW2, Assassins Creed 2, Uncharted 2, will all get MASSIVE sales. 

Most games got pushed back, because the developers just wanted to work on their games more (which they should). 

Some games got delayed in order to avoid the “crowded 2009 lineup” but now have made the 2010 lineup even more crowded… quite sad. 

AC2, MW2 and U2 will get the most sales on christmas, 2010 has ALOT of expected games comming out.

i reckon COD:MW2 will get the most sales by far, and it looks amazing so it should.

if i had a game coming out near that release i'd take it back as well bcoz tbh it'd be really hard to compete with it, and you'd have some extra time to finish it to perfection.

i'm hoping that the japanese bayonetta has an english version so i can import it due to it not being released this year except in japan because of a crowed release date and its a new ip

knoxie, no sh*t MW2 will get sales. There are so many CoD fanboys that would buy any game that says “Call of Duty” on it.

Lol, Uncharted 2 will get platinum edition and its not out yet.

These three games will be the best of 2009. The three brothers lol. I don't think AC2 will get GotY, U2 or MW2.
