When this was announced I had no interest in it at all.
I've seen the first season of the show which I thought was okay but not mind-blowing and haven't got round to watch S2 yet.
So far the reviews for Episode 1 of this have been positive, so I'm starting to consider a purchase, but for three things:
* Price – £15.99 seems a little bit steep
* Future episodes – Although the first episode is reviewing well, will that be maintained over the other 4 episodes since the game is being made by;
* Telltale games – Who also made the god awful Back to the Future games!
Be interested to know how long each episode takes to complete as BTTF was around 2 hours per ep?
April 27, 2012 at 9:14 pm #71644scottish_wonderboyMemberthe tv show is awesome imo i cant wait for season 3. season 2 is alot slower paced than the 1st but it gets great towards the end september cant come soon enough for me.
i have went halves with a friend so for 8 pound the season pass is worth it for the plat alone lol
it looks alot like bttf which i also dont really like but zombies should make it more fun right? lol
the 1st episode is around 2 hours long so i guess 10 hours around for the whole game

April 28, 2012 at 1:57 am #71646scotty243MemberPlan on picking this up soon but I also want to see how well the other episodes are going to do, otherwise forget it.
May 2, 2012 at 12:00 am #71671Doc-BMemberI got the 'season pass' for this… In for a penny, in for a pound I guess?
This is my first encounter with 'The Walking Dead'… Never heard of it at all, is that bad And I've not played BTTF so I've no comparisons of the two, but I thought it was pretty good? It's nice to relax with something interactive other than a game, but that's still engaging enough not to bore… Something to chill with… And it seems some of the choices do offer real replay, or another cut scene value at least? Or one other play to see the flip-side of your first decisions A concept level version of Heavy Rain… It's obviously is nothing like Heavy Rain, but the concept ideas are there… Super concept
There is most likely a far simpler comparison, but this is the first game of this style I've played

Some might say it's not worth the £20 as there's not really that much 'gameplay'… It's more the story that's the drive? I did like the 'Next week on…' part at the end, and i don't want to fill the thread with spoilers but I was speaking to my mate at work about it and it's interesting to hear what people chose to do there first time round… It did feel like a T.v episode, to me anyway
Just don't expect to much of a 'game' as such…
EDIT – It'll also be interesting to see if the decisions you initially make actually matter at all in the later episodes?
May 2, 2012 at 10:33 pm #71680emdeepeeMemberWell in fairness this is much better than BTTF.
It makes a change to play a game where you don't have to find 40 hidden treasures or complete it on the 'throw your controller at the TV' difficulty setting to unlock trophies. Where you can just sit back enjoy the game/story like back in the olden days of yore
May 30, 2012 at 5:04 pm #71863emdeepeeMemberAny idea when Ep 2 is out then? Its not listed for this weeks update meaing that'll be almost a month between episodes

I did a bit of looking… But the best I can come up with is June
June 2, 2012 at 2:02 pm #71891scotty243MemberWell that sucks. Does anyone know if the bundle for all episodes will still be availible? Because I don't want to buy it now and wait months to actually finish the game.
June 3, 2012 at 4:50 am #71900scottish_wonderboyMemberbought the season pass when it first came out as i love the walking dead, finally got around to playing ep1 and i thought it was awesome wish ep2 came out when it was suppost to. why say 1 month gap if you dont mean it. there bttf were never released on time either

August 28, 2012 at 7:13 pm #72215Doc-BMemberGood news for the Eu PSN… Oh, wait…
http://www.shopto.net/news/40439/Walking-Dead-Episode-3-delayed-on-EU-PSN
It's the same as what happened with the second episode, groan
August 31, 2012 at 10:43 am #72229emdeepeeMemberFair play, despite the high standard of this game the release structure has been a complete and utter balls up.
Don't understand why they've struggled with this so much. The entire game was obviously planned out well in advance (hence the complete trophy list).
September 7, 2012 at 5:40 pm #72281Doc-BMemberEpisode three is now available on Eu PSN…
DL'ing it now
September 7, 2012 at 6:22 pm #72283emdeepeeMemberThat's my evening sorted then
