February 2, 2010 at 7:49 pm #56780SpudchipMemberI’m fat but currently i’m losing weight lost 10kg in 2 months.
Speaking from being a fat person losing weight it’s not really having fast food around that sets you back, its actually not doing enough exercise even if your eating healthily. .February 2, 2010 at 8:11 pm #56781Antony19MemberDoc-B said:

they should get rid of some fast food resteraunts in america to start with then it wont happen though.
Prob. should start with the guns, eh? Every day a differant shooting and yet they alwasy point the finger at something trivial… Less gun's, LESS shooting's, no?
Yeah but this is not going to happen. If is going to happen then we will understand that we died and we are on Paradise
February 2, 2010 at 8:51 pm #56784Aztec25MemberNo its not true. Why do I always hear this crap that Americans are obese/fat! Here in my school and in Houston, Texas I see more thin people then fat people.
February 2, 2010 at 8:54 pm #56786Aztec25MemberBTW I have never seen a person in the U.S. walk there dog in a car. Most of the time I see people in a group walking there dog. Hate stereotypes!
February 2, 2010 at 9:28 pm #56792ecurryMemberI would definitely prefer EU if that was the case but it is soooooo not like that here in Ireland!
February 2, 2010 at 11:42 pm #56805parnakasMemberI have been to America a lot of times, and i must say, i have really never noticed that much obese people. I mean, there are a lot, but not as much as people make it seem. I mean, what do you expect when they order a 12 pound steak with eggs and salsa for BREAKFAST… geeze!! Imagine what Dinner must be like! I actually stared at this guy in the USA while he was eating his steak breakfast.. i was just like “how the hell?!?”
But let me say one thing: 80% of the people i have met in the USA no absolutely nothing about the world around them.. I told one of them i was from Canada, and they asked how big my igloo was. I told them that it is a decent size, and they actually believed me. Another person thought that Europe as a city, and Britain was a continent. Brilliance! There is a bunch of other stories i could tell, but i don't want to rant on..
February 3, 2010 at 12:20 am #56815ecurryMemberThat is the stereotype that has stuck with the Americans fore as long as I remember. They replace the paddy Irishman jokes for simplemindedness. No offense to Americans i am merely talking of the stereotype!

lol. We do have some dumb people like that. And a steak for breakfast? I've seen a lot eaten for breakfast but not a steak.

got to agree with that bit (maybe not the statisics but definetely the statement, i have told several americans that im from wales and have gotten the reply `so you german then?` a good 3 or 4 times, when i tell them wales is a country, they often dont even know where it is…and im also pretty sure some americans believe `healthy eating` is a type of highly deadly and contagious virus that causes spontanious combustion and/or eruption, but thats only a few (around 35% of the population in 2006)
as for guns being more restricted/harder to obtain in america like in the uk, well it was a great idea until some manchester/birmigham/london teenager discovered the all mighty chavs addiction to all things pointy, i.e the knife (guess i cant comment, i never leave home without my penknife in my pocket cept for school days…, i use it as a tool though not a weapon)

February 3, 2010 at 6:25 pm #56870KnoxieMemberit is sooooo easy not to become fat though, go to the gym (muscle is heavier than fat btw ), go for jogs, join a football team (pub team who cares).. loads.
obviously eating the right food does help but keeping fit should be a priority!
i dont get how theres so many overweight people in the world. sometimes its due to the parents/guardians though.

To be fair we only have a population of 3 million which is less than most US states.
We have however, produced Anthony Hopkins, Tom Jones and Catherine Zeta-Jones (amongst others).
We have the world's greatest rugby team and if you're a fan of Dr Who you can see where I got married in an episode from the upcoming season

I agree with everything you just said, especially that last point, about the parents and whatnot. My friends parents spoil the crap out of him, just let him eat anything he wants..
While muscle is heavier than fat, fat shows more.. with a lot of muscle, you just look built, not obese.
