Sequel's can be a bit of a worry but they got so much right with the last follow up that I'm actually looking forward to this without any worries at all.

The one thing I wouldn't like to see though is the online brought more to the fore. I thought the last time round they got it perfect. Only one or two simple trophies needed for the plat and then extra ones released later to reward people that wanted to stick with it.

Does anyone else think that Nathan's face looks a little different in the U3 screenshots/pictures? It looks longer or something. Maybe it'll look more-the-same in the trailer but I'm just hoping no changes will be made to the character model.

I read that Sully's returning, too. Good news there. I'm just hoping that Elena returns with him. It just wouldn't be the same without her.

I heard that the trailer that will be shown at this weekend's VMAs will not be CGI so that's sweet news. I also heard that Nathan Fillion will be attending this year's VMAs and there's a rumour floating around that he may be presenting the U3 trailer to the audience. How hilarious would that be? I wonder how Naughty Dog feels about the casting for the film?

Anyway, this is a Day 1 buy for me. I'm hoping there's a Collector's Edition released this time that will not cost $3000 on eBay. Hope with me, people! 😀

front cover looks like an epic Sahara rip off and this kinda confirms it's not Uncharted 3 thats gonna be shown on the 12th

What are you talking about? its confirmed that they will show off Uncharted 3 at the VGAs..

Note that Uncharted 3 isn't the only game that will be shown at the VGAs…Resistance 3 will also be shown and most likely Sly 4.

Anyways. I have 2 thoughts of this right now. One thought is that I'm excited and right when I saw that cover I know that this game will be epic. My second opinion is however, negative about the game. To be honest, I am disappointed in you Naughty Dog. Why?? I would have much rather loved you guys release a new Jak game. I have been waiting for so long and the Lost Frontier is such a sh!t excuse.

I think Monkey is referring to Sony's “secret” announcement on the twelfth. They said they had a big reveal. A lot of people were expecting it to be U3 but now that they've shown it already then it has to be something else.

Epic. Definitely a day one buy. The two previous games were absolutely amazing, best games on the ps3 next to MGS4, if you ask me.

A new Jak game? Why? Uncharted is far more interesting and appealing towards the current times. The Jak series was great for its time, if you want to play it, go get out your ps2. Why is Naughty Dog gonna waste time trying to reboot old series that have had their prime time, when they can be working on something new, fresh and innovative?

Uncharted is hands down one of the greatest video game series. In fact, I would say its second to the MGS series. If Naughty Dog can make the third Uncharted just as good as the previous two, I will be one extremely happy person. And seeing as Naughty Dog has NEVER let me down before, I have complete confidence that this game will be absolutely amazing. And once they are done with Uncharted, they'll move onto something else, and make that the most epic thing ever.

Why? Because I feel that Jak has a much more interesting story. They can build up on so much stuff. Also, why wouldnt Naughty Dog “waste” their time on a series they put so much heart into…Insomniac brought back Ratchet and Clank, and now Sucker Punch is doing it with Sly Cooper.

Well Uncharted is, in my experience, one of the exceptions where the sequel was better than the original.

Normally a game is made, turns out to be awesome, the developer panics and churns out a secod as quick as they can to grab sales.

Uncharted 2 was a huge improvement on the already awesome original. I would like to see more co-op missions in this game. They were probably my favourite thing about the last game.

I never played a Jak game so I am happier that NaughtyDog announced Uncharted 3. I will probably only play a Jak game if there's a remake like the Sly Collection.

I would've put my house on U3 being the 'secret' reveal this Sunday. I still think it is, after all this was leaked then Naughty Dog confirmed it. Maybe they didn't intend for it to get out. Then again I wouldn't expect that after Sony hyped this big reveal. I suppose we'll just have to wait and see.

More interesting story? Wow thats weird.

And exactly, they already put so much heart into it, they're finished with it. Its like you are expecting Naughty Dog to make one game and just work on that game for the rest of their lives. How boring would that be! Insomniac never brought back R&C, they never finished it on PS2, so it just continued. Sucker Punch is re-doing Sly Cooper, which is awesome, but I think they should have done something new after inFamous 2.

Do you want every company to be like Nintendo, where they just keep using the same freaking characters until they completely suck the life out them, and make them crap? Thats why Nintendo is lame as hell now! Back to Naughty dog though..

They made Crash Bandicoot, it was amazing, now its done.

They made Jak and Daxter, it was awesome, now its done.

They made Uncharted, it is freaking unbelievable, and its not yet finished.

Once Uncharted is finished, they will go on to create an even better series.

As for Uncharted 3, the trailer shown last night was cool! Can't wait for some more details.
