Yes the new Superman movie does look like it has potential.
I enjoyed 300 but didn't get through all of Watchmen.
April 24, 2013 at 4:19 am #73202gr8jrfanMemberAnyone here about the Ratchet and Clank movie?
I remember when I just wanted some R&C action figures in the fourth grade. Now they'll have a full feature-length movie soon? It really is a great time to be a gamer. Playstation is the freaking best.
April 24, 2013 at 8:36 am #73207Frederick_PlaystationMemberThey have action figures.
The movie seems cool. Probably going to be a commercial failure, seeing how bad the other games did, as no one cares about R&C anymore.
And seriously, 2015?
April 24, 2013 at 9:58 pm #73215scotty243MemberThink I'll take a raincheck for Man of Steel; Haven't been too impressed but I may end up going if a friend feels like it… Should say the same for Iron Man 3. I fcuking hate Iron Man despite the 2nd film not being too rubbish, but this should surely be a skip – Same goes for Thor 2. Whatever, I'd go as far as to say all of this year's superhero films look terrible
Star Trek Into Darkness looks badass but it's depressing that they're literally releasing the entire movie through their advertisements. While the very first teaster trailer didn't show too much, I think I'd rather have that than witnessing all of their set pieces thrown in a montage like they've been doing.

Actually, that Ratchet & Clank movie doesn't seem too bad, in fact. Don't get me wrong here, I honestly think there's no real point in releasing one since it practically will be a video game, just without the game part thrown in there, but it could be something for the family I think? I'd like to see if it could possibly break the trend of horrible movie games – That'd be interesting to see
I'd agree with Fred though; I wouldn't be surprised if I end up seeing a sequel go direct-to-DVD along with the Disney “classics”.

Been quite eager to see The Place Beyond The Pines for quite some time now. Too bad I have to go out of my way to see it Whatever though, Ryan Gosling usually does give a stellar performance Maybe I'll go this weekend

Iron Man 2 was bad.
April 25, 2013 at 4:26 am #73221gr8jrfanMemberWell they obviously have R&C toys now, but I don't think they had any 8 or 9 years ago, at least not in the area where I lived. Regardless, that movie appeals to me because those games dominated my childhood and I can't be the only one. It also looks like it could have some success from the family market as well, so I wouldn't count the movie out just yet. If they advertise it well, it won't fail.
I didn't know anything about The Place Beyond the Pines before today, but now I really want to see it! Ray Liotta!!!
April 25, 2013 at 8:25 am #73222emdeepeeMemberI'd have to agree with Seibei, Iron Man 2 wasn't very good!
April 25, 2013 at 6:15 pm #73223Seibei4211MemberWhile I think Fred is awesome, I'm not him. Although I think the only proof I have of that is that he likes MGS3 and I've never played any of them. Cause it is pretty weird that I would finally get the urge to go into this thread for the first time ever right after I get mentioned. I also did think Iron Man 2 was pretty bad…
Since I'm in here, I guess I'll throw down Pacific Rim, Elysium, and The World's End.

Am I the only one who thinks it'll be shit?
Anywho, here's my list:
- The Purge
- Mud
- The East
- Kings of Summer
- Rush
- Star Trek Into Darkness
- You're Next (Been waiting quite sometime for some sort of wide release)
- Kick Ass 2
That's about it, for now. Most of the list is from the festivals so I'm definitely going to have to go out of my way to catch them, or cough up a little bit more dough if one of the popular theaters near me plays them Oh well, ready for The Purge!!
April 29, 2013 at 1:10 am #73244Seibei4211MemberI just have a soft spot for giant fighting robots. It'll probably be less awesome than I'd like it to be. But hopefully it'll have a few cool scenes.
April 29, 2013 at 7:18 am #73245Frederick_PlaystationMemberI'm expecting it to be decent.
Last thing del Toro directed was Hellboy II? That movie wasn't bad.
April 29, 2013 at 7:29 am #73247Seibei4211MemberWow, has it been that long since he's directed? He's been executive producer to so many things lately that I didn't realize he wasn't actually directing anything.
April 29, 2013 at 6:27 pm #73248emdeepeeMemberThink he's had a few false starts, The Hobbit and At The Mountains Of Madness being the most high profile.
I've never been a massive fan of his work other than Blade 2, but I am looking forward to Pacific Rim
June 24, 2013 at 5:22 am #73462scotty243Member- The Lone Ranger
- X-Men: Days of Future Past
First Class is undeniably one of my favorite, if not my very favorite, superhero movies to have been released so with Days of Future Past getting an actual release date, I couldn't be happier

Can't believe you left Smurfs 2 off your list Denzel? WTF?
I'll back you up on X-Men whilst also hoping Wolverine is good too.
Additionally:
Machete Kills (love the first one)
Kick Ass 2
The Worlds End
Thor: The Dark World (what can I say, I enjoyed the first one)
