Hey, I have just been on my american account and have seen the video store on it, it has over 1,000 videos to buy and download! What are the odds of this ever coming to the EU store?

You are making a point about the video store? The Japanese GAME store is MASSIVE! We hardly get anything in the US…and I do not think you fair any better in Europe. >__<

I agree with you. I would only see a point in bringing all the PSN/PS1 games over… I mean, who really cares about movies on a game console? Last time I checked, there were meant to play games.

May 17, 2009 at 2:21 pm #26048kingofgames73MemberI personaly like the idea of the video store although i could download videos for free off sites like stagevu i see no point in risking it (illegal etc). I guess the prices are important though if they were too expensive i would buy them 2nd hand off the internet.. I can`t see the prices on the US store though whenever i click on the film it says `currently unavailable`……..

May 17, 2009 at 6:18 pm #26068XeroTheGreatMemberI personally think a video store is pointless, especially if your ps3 is on a 15-inch TV, and you could get the vids on DVD anyway. But still, i suppose if you have a decent internet connection in terms of speed and want something to watch one night, then it's useful.

not to mention that the UK is facing serious internet connection speed problems over the next few years.
over 3 years ago, BT (British Telecom) were supposed to be working on a nation wide high speed fibre optic network, estimated at costing over £15,000,000,000 all the way up to £40,000,000,000.
No work has yet to be done on it.
The UK's standard broadband connection is still running through common copper telephone wires, which severely limits the connection speed.
With such low speeds nationwide, downloading a movie CAN take a long time.
