Managed to snag a copy of Mass Effect 3 for $29.99 brand new (because of the sale and traded in a game) and will be putting my downloadable game GRIND on hold until I finish the single-player for Mass Effect 3. So far, I played a few hours of the singleplayer and I like how they engage you right away in the story and how it didn't start of good and then slow it down to hold your hand like ME2 (it was good but the first hour or so was a little slow). Tried out the multiplayer and it's also engaging but they could have done more with this like the resistance on Earth (or what's left) POV but I do like how the multiplayer and singleplayer interact with each other. Also putting my playthrough on Dragon Age on hold and I'm actually where I left off on my last playthrough in less time and more leveled up.

EDIT: May have jumped the gun a bit on that one. Got the code but it won't work til Thursday!
April 19, 2012 at 1:03 pm #71622I773D33MABL3MemberI've actually been a bit adrift since getting the MW3 plat. I tried my hand at Twisted Metal but it just isn't holding my interest and the trophy list looks like a nightmare.
I also started AC: Revelations but so far it hasn't caught my interest. I've been playing for a few hours yet I'm still getting hit with new tutorials and guides. Maybe it's just me, but the game is so over-crowded with diversions (Den defense = pointless inclusion) that I actually haven't the patience for the main story arc. I haven't given up yet, but if the narrative keeps getting broken up and the plot gets any more “out there” it may start putting nails in the coffin for AC3.
What I have had a little more success in is Resonance of Fate. The combat system is still a bit of a gray area but I have a better grasp of it than when I first tackled the game. With the help of my RPG loving friend Kristoff I've actually made some decent progress in both story progression and game mechanics.
And for my MP kicks I've been dipping into Space marine. I picked up a second copy and gave it to Mojo so I at least have someone to play with.
April 21, 2012 at 9:28 am #71629scotty243MemberJust now got done with Mass Effect 3 and goddamn, I was a fool for not purchasing it day one with all that Day one DLC, online passes, and BS. The ending (like Uncharted 3) made my eyes water (call me a cry baby IDC!) Truely one of the greatest games out there, ever made, and of this year. I can honestly see why the ending bothered everyone though but it didn't for me at least. So, right now I will be resuming my grind and probably jump on ME3 MP every now and then. 10/10!!
April 28, 2012 at 2:06 am #71648scotty243MemberGot PS+ so I'm playing SHANK 2 and currently in the final battle of Dragon Age: Origins. For some reason it took me awhile to get use to the combat and now I'm really enjoying it more than ever. Along with that, it seems like every Bioware game I've played whenever I get to the final mission of the game that I never want to finish it but wanting it to keep going on. Will be playing Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Beta with Emdeepee hopefully and try out SHIFT 2 later tonight. After DA:O, whatever I get with PS+ I'll be playing and be between that and ME3 insanity.
April 29, 2012 at 1:52 am #71650I773D33MABL3MemberDue to the fact that my job is wank and my bosses hate my guts, I've been too exhausted to even touch the PS3 all week. But thankfully I've the next two days off (after working the last nine straight) so tomorrow I'm hoping to get some Dead Island and maybe some Trine 2 done. I just have to fit it around the rugby!!
April 29, 2012 at 4:54 am #71651emdeepeeMemberMay have to postpone GR:FS til Monday Scotty. Got a monster hangover today!!
April 30, 2012 at 12:45 am #71652I773D33MABL3MemberGot about half way through Trine 2 today. The trophy list is nice but a bit of a joke at the same time. Enjoying it anyway but one or two of the puzzles have been the wrong side of tedious.

April 30, 2012 at 9:45 pm #71658emdeepeeMemberTaken the plunge and spanked £16 on Walking Dead!! Seems a bit inflated considering its $20 on the US PSN
May 1, 2012 at 5:11 am #71660gr8jrfanMemberI've been forcing myself to play KZ3 MP. Some of the map specific trophies are absolutely ridiculous. I only need a Stahl Arms triple kill and then I need to find a Radec Academy match for the 2 tied to that. (Still never saw the map) Once those are done, I have a monstrous XP grind ahead. I think half a million, which is hell, since I'm already tired of. If anyone still wants the KZ3 100%, please heed my warning, and DO IT NOW. I'm noticing the same IDs in each match now…
May 1, 2012 at 7:31 pm #71661I773D33MABL3MemberAre you not able to set up custom matches like in KZ2?

trophies dont unlock in custom games. i played it from the start wen it came out so i got a nice double xp weekend that made the grind less than it would of been
May 1, 2012 at 10:42 pm #71667scotty243MemberTook gr8jrfan's advice and getting through the last level of KZ3 MP so I can delete the damn thing. After that I'll be on Trine 2 and Comix Zone, ME3 insanity can be put on hold. Played a bit of the beta of GR:FS with Em and it was kinda bad. The gameplay only feels right if it was placed in co-op (which I'm dying to try out!) and the maps are uninteresting along with the 2 game modes given which are kind of boring and confusing. But, I do still have hope for this game as I will rent it and hopefully end up buying it if I like the single-player campaign.
May 4, 2012 at 12:30 am #71687emdeepeeMemberAfter yesterday's PS+ update I'm on Hamsterball, Ricochet HD and Awesomenauts (which isn't actually that awesome!)
