Started playing Rage again and have been quickly reminded why I stopped playing this piece of shit in the first place.
Have dropped from Nightmare to Normal just to get the experience over with ASAFP!!
May 4, 2012 at 9:59 pm #71691I773D33MABL3MemberThat game is shocking bad. I had to play through the bastard twice because I missed one or two collectables (random areas locking off after I completed the missions) and they don't count across playthroughs so I had to do every mission and side-game to get 100% stat completion the second time round…

RAGE was the WORST piece of ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** shit I’ve ever played. It was so offensive and insulting from the shit graphics (SO many goddamn pop in textures!), the non-existent story (WTF?! NO STORY?!), generic boring ass gameplay, and the lackluster multiplayer! I managed to have 13 hrs in the game before I quit.Anyways playing SHIFT 2 UNLEASHED now and might squeeze out SHANK 2 100% tonight.
May 5, 2012 at 8:07 am #71696emdeepeeMemberWell at least its managed to unite gamers through how utterly shite it is
Think I may have to come back to it every few days, complete a mission then have another break from it!
May 5, 2012 at 1:37 pm #71697I773D33MABL3MemberI read an article during the week claiming that video games make us more dangerous as they improve our accuracy and weapons handling. At the time I remember wondering (through a fog of utter rage) how the Hell moving two analogue sticks with my thumbs could ever affect my handling of a real weapon (weight, recoil, accuracy etc.) and that their reference to Anders Breivik playing Black Ops to hone his skills was actually criminally stupid.
However after spending several hours playing the DLC Spec Ops missions in MW3 with gr8jrfan last night, I've realised that I was looking at it from the wrong angle. The article is still shit on paper but my arguement about weapons was all wrong. Because the real discrepancy between games and real life is people. I've never been in a live hostage situation but I'm pretty fcuking sure the hostages don't go out of their way to throw themselves in front of their would-be rescuers bullets and play fetch with fcuking grenades. They don't jump up and down, walk backwards or float in mid-air. And I'd be willing to bet that no psycho has ever had to deal with aiming at his hostage only to lag back into the room he just left…
So to the anonymous author at the Daily Mirror: It's an awful pity mass murderers don't actually use games to train. Because if they did, they wouldn't be able to hit a single fcuking thing in the real world!
May 6, 2012 at 1:54 am #71704I773D33MABL3MemberFinished off the MW3 DLC trophies with gr8jrfan and got my Trine 2 plat in the space of a few hours. Not a bad days gaming.
May 9, 2012 at 11:17 pm #71725scotty243MemberGoing through Mafia II on hard but for some reason, I can't see to play a game for more than 20-30 mins without either losing interest or wanting to listen to music.
Since I've been waiting to play a PixelJunk game for a while (especially Shooter) there happened to be a sale on PSN and I got PixelJunk Eden and Shooter for $2.00 all together! Going to try these out, and hopefully I like them.
May 11, 2012 at 10:30 pm #71745I773D33MABL3MemberHas anyone tried 'Datura' yet? It's from the crowd that did 'Linger in Shadows' but it's a little pricey for an “interactive project”.

Anybody know if it's worth it?

Anybody know if it's worth it? And do I need that piece of shit Move to play it?
Metacritic doesn't seem to think so:

Apparently its better with Move though
May 13, 2012 at 1:16 am #71753I773D33MABL3MemberSpent most of today gaming solidly.
I got quite a bit of Resonance of Fate done and further cemented my understanding of the combat system. Then I had a few friends call over and we battered away at Zombies and then some Motorstorm.
May 13, 2012 at 8:10 am #71754emdeepeeMemberFinally finished RAGE
Credit to 1773 for platting this game. I really haven't got the patience to complete this on nightmare plus do all the side quests, races and collectibles
Probably gonna bounce between House of Dead and SSX til Max arrives
May 14, 2012 at 5:49 am #71759gr8jrfanMemberAfter being the proud owner of all 121 KZ3 trophies (Last part was a fcuking GRIND) and getting all of them 95% legit, I'm just going to take a little break from trophies before I start what I've got planned for my 5000th trophy and 69th platinum. I've been replaying Mass Effect 2 because I've never seen it from the Renegade side and because it's such a good game. Adios, Killzone!
May 17, 2012 at 12:32 am #71764I773D33MABL3MemberAnother day off poured into the PS3 in the shape of some more Resonance of Fate. Slow progress being made as the difficulty spikes mean lengthy boutes of leveling up. It's a bit of a pain because during the course of normal story progression there aren't enough battles to earn the XP needed to hold your own. I've had to grind in the arena and it's the most sleep inducing part of the game.
Still, I'm up to chapter four now with all Hunter Board missions (side quests) done so far. I've customed the crap out of my guns and even bothered to mess around with my characters outfits. Combat is now honed to a plan of attack rather than winging it and I've broadened the range of items I use.
But all that aside I still haven't a clue about the plot…
May 17, 2012 at 7:29 pm #71768khaoschickMemberKZ3 MP off and on and going to finally start Uncharted 3.
May 18, 2012 at 5:44 am #71771gr8jrfanMemberI've decided to say screw it to what I had planned for my 5000th trophy and 69th platinum. I don't need a flashy trophy milestone to make me happy. I've been holding off on playing certain games in fear of accidentally earning a trophy and screwing up the necessary trophy order. I've even got 2 platinums stacked right now! I've always been a trophy collector who does what he wants and I plan on keeping it that way. So forget that nonsense, it's time for MAX PAYYYYNNNEEE. This game is absolutely freaking awesome!!! I started out on Hard to unlock the other difficulties and it's a pretty satisfying challenge. I don't want to say anything regarding the story except that you guys in the UK are in for a real treat! 😀
