I'm in the same situation. Darksiders 2 and Sleeping Dogs are the first two games in about two years that I haven't picked up on release because I know I won't get to them for months!
I'm sick of paying for games and still not having played them by the time they turn up for free on PS+
And speaking of PS+, the free game this week (Retro/Grade) is actually class. Play it with the sound turned way up
August 25, 2012 at 10:51 am #72201gr8jrfanMemberHaven't posted in a while, been trying to desperately cut down my backlog before it swallows me whole. If you guys think 20 unfinished is bad, take a look at my completion. 103/215 games 100%.
But now I'm back to see the return of the Hardest and Sloppiest mothercuker around, a Scottish fight that went nowhere, and another kombatant! Awesome!! Nice to see a new member who is possibly not another spammer or troll. Welcome to No Man's Land, Ryan. The forums may be small but they're home to the coolest trophy collectors in the known universe.
So what could possibly tear me away from this golden site, you might ask? Virtual LEGO bricks! Decided to give LEGO Batman 2 a whirl after seeing TDKR the second or third time because I'd already 100%ed the Arkham games. I loved it. Everything in it was just so.. Fun. It goes beyond explanation, I played it expecting maybe an average kids game but it was awesome! Everything is so well designed and made for all age groups like, it was a welcomed experience after grinding 40,000 kills in Space Marine. After I got that plat, I thought to myself, “That was a great game and there are like 6 others just like it? Fcuk yes!” I bought Lego Pirates… Wasn't the same
I also got around to completing collectible mania, The Amazing Spider-Man. The 700 pages were so ridiculous because the open world is incredibly tiny so when you start going to each story mission, you'll probably find 8 “R1 to collect comic pages” on each street! Then they packed the indoor areas with another 200 collectibles, and again, you can't walk 4 centimetres without hearing another magazine glow noise The game itself was pretty decent. It's a step in the right direction for the SM games, moving back to an open world. The combat was pretty good because it's basically Arkham City with web attacks, and the web swinging around NYC makes you really feel like Spider-Man, it was cool. Much better than the actual movie
And finally to answer the thread's primary question: What am I playing right now? I'm currently juggling six games… It's tough, I want to play them all. I've mostly been on Sleeping Dogs, which is GODDAMN AWESOME. Beat some of my records, Jenkem! I dares ya! I also devoted 30 hours of my life to my Khajit Master Thief in Skyrim. Patches seem to have smoothed over the bugs but I guess I'll really see when my save hits 12 MB… I restarted my Off The Record trophy progress when I stupidly deleted my level 50 Frank My partner said just start a new one, since you'll be getting all the XP back anyway and I overwrote it. That wouldn't be so bad if he didn't say that a majority of the trophies would be easier alone
Me and 1773 cleared all Resistance 2 mission intel (but he still has to grind another 13 levels, poor bastard) but not before a Titan merged with the scenery! It was glorious!! I threw five grenades at it and it rocketed into a damn cooling tower! Then we waited ten minutes as Patrick hammered away at it's gigantic health bar with the weakest gun in the game, the only gun that could do any damage to him whatsoever. Reason being it's the only one that can shoot through walls!! I laughed so hard at one point that my stomach hurt. You can't stop the Coalition!!!!

I appreciate the welcome back.
I've been trying to clear the backlog before Persona 4 Golden comes around. Gonna suck my like away. I only have 25 games in my backlog. Not the greatest games around though. So wish me the best
August 27, 2012 at 1:33 am #72205scotty243MemberHad a good gaming day today. Managed to finish Dead Nation's trophy list (main game) and started up PixelJunk Shooter.
Shooter so far is pretty good and well worth my time (and the $1 I spent ). It's nice to just hop into the game and not having to pay attention to anything or remember what just happened in the last mission. Usually listening to hilarious podcasts as I shoot away cave monsters!
Going to finish up Infamous soon. I keep restarting the game so I can have a feel for what's going on but this time I just said, fcuk it. I'll just finish it up then collect the shards as soon as I print out the shard map!! Oh, sh!t. I have to play through again through Hero . Stupid powers…

Haha, thanks for the welcome. I assure you, I am not a spammer or a troll.
I've seen you guys posting for quite some time now, and I figured I'd join in on the fun.
That's a crazy backlog man, good luck.
August 30, 2012 at 2:53 pm #72224I773D33MABL3MemberOff work for a couple of days so there's another chunk of Resonance of Fate on the cards and also some Ghost Recon MP. I might even find some time to grind Space Marine.
August 30, 2012 at 10:29 pm #72225scotty243MemberAlmost finished up with PixelJunk Shooter's trophy list; It's a fairly easy title to 100% but I wouldn't call it “fun” although I might have had some . It's a great time passer, IMO but it isn't that spectacular, if that makes sense? Although that $1 was well spent
Was going to start up Infamous but realized that I might not have a printed out map for the shards so I'll postpone that until that's settled.
After PixelJunk, I'm just going to move back into Deus Ex: Human Revolution and finish up the trophy list. Going to try and get all the trophies not related to no kill/no alerts in my 1st playthrough (or 3rd if you count it as an actual playthrough and not a trophy run (although it is fun with or without trophies)), then my second playthrough will be no kills/no alerts and also my final for the plat.

Don't envy you there pal. I started playing this earlier this week and its pretty gash. Think I'll stay away from the grind on this one!!
Nearly finished Sly Cooper. Undecided whether to go for the plat as its quite a frustrating game.
August 31, 2012 at 11:14 pm #72231scotty243MemberAfter realizing I didn't have the right augs, didn't pick the right conversation for the police station, and not having saved before, I now am just going to attempt the no kills/no alerts playthrough and go back for everything in a second. Wtf….
September 1, 2012 at 2:48 am #72232I773D33MABL3MemberI'm a huge fan of the 40K universe so I loved the game's setting and how true it stayed to Warhammer canon. But in terms of gameplay it does nothing spectacular.
@Scotty
I've just started into Deus Ex myself man, and I'm trying to do it all on one playthrough. I've been using a guide but are there pitfalls I'll need to watch out for that'll junk my playthrough?
September 1, 2012 at 2:17 pm #72234scotty243Member@ I773
Definitely. I suggest having multiple save files before conversations and side missions. Some of the conversation choices in the trophy guide I used (PS3Trophies.org) didn't work at all and I didn't save before then. Upgrade your cloaking, hacking: capture, Icarus landing system, and the high jumps before the end of the game. Also, if you can, upgrade armor, Typhoon mine system, and the multiple takedowns because it'll save you on boss fights and stuff. What I would do if I were you is to save before right when you get the side mission, continue to get through the game, then come back and do those because hard mode can be pretty difficult. Hope this helps… Good luck, I773.
September 1, 2012 at 5:44 pm #72235Doc-BMemberI found Dues Ex pretty easy to be honest… The fact that you can stealth through the whole game and the boss battles are pretty weak make the difficulty almost void?
I think I did 2 playthroughs for the Plat., possibly 2 1/2?

Just got a shot of Lego Batman 2 so I'll be starting that this weekend at some point… It's my first Lego game so I hope it's good?
September 1, 2012 at 11:39 pm #72240I773D33MABL3MemberJust grinding a bit of Resonance of Fate. The combat is fun but moving up the ranks in the arena is quickly sapping the life out of it. 50 ranks and 10 battles per rank?
September 2, 2012 at 6:53 am #72241scotty243MemberHad a great gaming day today. Managed to get the Foxiest of the Hounds and Pacifist trophy in Deus Ex in 1 day! Just need side missions, EBooks, 50 hacks, and the weapon trophies for the plat. For some reason, after I saw that Doc thought it was easy, the game felt easier to play and those 2 trophies were a breeze. Should finish up the list by next weekend or so. Hopefully I'll buy the DLC soon??
Anyways, started Dear Esther last night and it was pretty interesting. It's not phenomenal but it's definitely different from the stuff I've played. Instead of shoot this, infiltrate this, and eliminate a certain target, the game is just walking around an island and possibly the main character narrating the story? Not sure but it's interesting. Only 4 levels and I'm quite surprised. I'll finish it up in a few days then I'll see what other indie games interest me.
September 2, 2012 at 10:49 pm #72249emdeepeeMemberProbably a bit of a long shot given how old the game is but does anyone have Outrun Online Arcade as I was looking to boost a couple of the online trophies?
