What little time I spent gaming today was put towards the boring Protector Trials. God, those are a grind.
And then I lubed up to Injustice trailers…
March 27, 2013 at 12:19 pm #73122KriggsMemberI'm playing through The Sims 3 for a while, gonna get what I can as I'm playing the game so I just enjoy it.
Planning a playthrough of Bioshock this friday. I'm gonna try and stay indoors this weekend cos the last time I went out this time of year I was attacked and nailed to a cross. People are assholes.
March 28, 2013 at 2:00 am #73129gr8jrfanMemberI've been doing the remaining Bioshock 2 singleplayer trophies while I wait for the boost that's currently on haitus… Knocked out the pretty decent Minerva's Den and I'm on the last four Protector Trials. The 15th trial has a really enfuriating glitch that's not allowing me to switch my Plasmid. That would be managable but this trial doesn't allow the collection of money and you have no weapons you can use. I was just putting the Decoy in front of my fountain and I prayed nobody would touch the Little Sister. They did.
I'm also doing a playthrough of Bioshock 1 on Friday! Now we just need to get Ben to do one…
March 28, 2013 at 8:43 am #73137emdeepeeMemberIn an attempt to clear some space on my HDD I've done my eeeevil run through of Infamous 2 and started up F1 Race Stars but its a pile of shit some I'm stuck with another ten percenter on my trophy list.
Decided to give up on trying to 100% Voodoo Dice and had another shot at the triangle puzzle in Machinarium but its still got me beat
Sooooo, I've now got the pleasure of R&C: A4O to get through as Scotty won't help!!

I've been helping with A4O as much as you've been helping out with Syndicate

That's cold. You know I have an aversion to shite games!
Don't worry I freely acknowledge the irony in my statement since I'm playing A4O but I'm still waiting for Infinite to turn up!

Dude, ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** Syndicate. That piece of dick licking, shit eating, garbage ass game has frozen my Playstation more times than the console itself has in a year! The one game that doesn't require a patch and it sorely needs one. The game freezes every 2 minutes and it becomes such a hassle that I sometimes have to do a hard reset for the bastard to work!! And I know it's not just me or my console because many people have had the same issue. I could literally sit here and write pages and pages on how awful Syndican't is and that's just for one of the many problems!!
I think I'd opt to play Dead Space 3 four more times or even finish MoH: Warfighter than play Syndicate since those games were at the very least somewhat enjoyable!!

Any who, I loaded up Metal Gear Solid 3 HD to actual enjoy something for once however I was surely let down. Either I wasn't in the mood or perhaps it's the game, but I was bored the entire hour or so I was playing that game It got to the point where I was falling asleep as the cutscenes were playing out The controls for the game don't help either, since they are some of the worst controls I've had to deal with since who knows.
If there's one thing I do admire about the game though, it has to be that bad ass James Bond-type intro. So awesome!
March 30, 2013 at 5:42 am #73145Frederick_PlaystationMemberSorry but it sounds like you lack in a taste of games if you think MGS3 is not enjoyable and the controls suck.
March 30, 2013 at 8:51 pm #73146gr8jrfanMemberAgain, welcome to the site, Frederick! The aiming controls were a little bit weird but if you don't like MGS3, you are beyond hope, Denzel.
Went through Bioshock 1 for the first time in 4 years to get the platinum in one playthrough. The art of rotating saves is key here, in addition to loads of patience and gathering resources. It's a pretty fun game still except for a few of the Big Daddy encounters. They take shit tons of damage on Survivor, more than most of the level's bosses! Some of the encounters were enjoyable and fun with some tactical planning, like when I had one of them on my heels all the way into a room of turrets and cameras I hacked. Then I hid in a jail cell like a bitch. Oh well. I felt intelligent when he kicked the bucket.
The Dead Space playthrough is worse than I ever could have imagined. I had more of an appreciation for Patrick since he was the one who got all the collectibles when we did it; it's fcuking dreadful to do. Every 2 rooms holds 2-3 collectibles. I'm fine with games that have maybe 1-3 collectibles per chapter but 40+ is just retarted. Also, the objective marker lead us into a trap, making us pick our floor in an elevator, only for it to disapear and have us fall down a shaft to our deaths. The game will probably be more enjoyable when we're done with our first playthrough…
April 2, 2013 at 6:26 pm #73148emdeepeeMemberStarted lovefilm up again (despite having plenty to get through of my home backlog) which has left me with MOH: Warfighter and AO2: DC (hoping Scotty gets back online soon to get through the latter).
April 5, 2013 at 9:58 pm #73150scotty243MemberSince I've been off the last few days due to some personal matters/issues, I completely lost track of what I was doing in some games
I believe I'm on The End's boss battle in Metal Gear Solid 3? I'm quite glad I was off since once I load up the save (which should be right after this post), he should be dead from old age Also, it seems as if this game is collectible heaven or something since every 2 feet there's something to collect so I'm focusing on just collecting those sour patch kids or whatever as well as no kills. I've been warming up to the game though. It seems that once I got to the Pain's fight, everything was much more ameliorate. I'm liking the game however as far as “best of the series” comments go, I think Guns of the Patriots (despite that ridiculous trophy list!! ) is on top
Thinking of finishing Scott Pilgrim as well but it I simply can't be assed
Recently ordered Dishonored as well as Hitman: Absolution both brand new for the price of a full retail game, so that was pretty exciting Both games should be arriving Wednesday however I'm not sure if I should wait another week to load them up as I'm taking a “day off” the following Thursday to simply do whatever Eager for Purist mode in Absolution!!!
April 7, 2013 at 7:50 am #73153I773D33MABL3MemberSpent the weekend battling through Bioshock with Kristoff. Not as bad as I had first feared but the continuous hacking started to wear on my nerves towards the end. We were going for the plat in a single playthrough so there was some nervous moments as we checked the tonic/audio diary lists in Point Prometheus. And I only managed to get 'Avid Inventor' on my way to the end boss.
I'm, sure you guys don't need to be told but anyone going for this should definitely use the “Save every ten yards” method we all perfected playing the Fallout games.

Sorry but Snake Eater is considered the greatest Metal Gear ever to 99% of everyone who's played the Metal Gear games. There's no way in hell that Guns of the Patriots comes close to Snake Eater's level. It's a damn good of a game, but it's definitely not as good as Snake Eater.
Also Dishonored is an amazing game. Absolution is decent..

Put me in the 1% bracket then. MGS1 all the way for me.
April 9, 2013 at 9:56 pm #73158KriggsMemberStarted playing Dungeon Siege 3 with Jack and a couple others at the weekend and was at first underwhelmed. It doesn't seem to work as a multiplayer game , I then tried it by myself when I was at home and started to get a feel for it. My only problem with it is the endless dialogue that I really couldn't give a toss about. Some of it is interesting but all in all I'm just skipping through a lot of it. I'm not as patient as I used to be.
I've also been playing through Resident Evil 5 for the millionth time with a friend of mine and I have to say I still love it. I don't care what the fanboys say, as good as ressie 4 was this is just as good and has more replay value ( for me anyway) than any other game I've ever played.
Still polishing off some other games too , The Sims 3, LBP2, Pro-Evo 13, Skyrim and a few other. lots of tidying to do it being spring and all. I've picked up nearly 350 trophies since the start of the year which for me is quite a bit considering my overall trophies.
