After Scotty let me down on our Dead Island Monday all day session, I decided to jump into Vanquish. After taking over 2 1/2 years to get round to finish it I managed to wrap it up in under 4 1/2 hours.

But is anyone else interested in the new Wolfenstein?

The teaser trailer is from earlier this month and theres already gameplay footage.
But I seriously can't wait for this game (Wolfenstein 3D is one of my all time favorites). The latest release back in '09 was sort of a disappointment
Also the song choice is amazing too. Hendrix's cover of All Along the Watchtower is an amazing song (what he does with the guitar is a masterpiece). The songs never given me goosebumps, but it did with this trailer.

Even Killzone: Shadow Fall, even though I've never had a Killzone game before. The one PS4 game I'm most looking forward to is The Witness. I've been wanting to play that ever since I heard about it.
Anyway, I was playing Ratchet: Deadlocked a while ago, I'm doing some Ar tonelico II every now and again, and I'm currently going for the Fuse Plat. Fuse is not going to be an easy/quick Plat.

Wolfenstein is basically the father of the FPS genre.
How could you have not played Wolfenstein before? Maybe it's not as popular as it used to be.May 31, 2013 at 5:45 am #73306Seibei4211MemberI know what Wolfenstein is. The only Wolfenstein game that's come out at the appropriate time for me to play it is the 2009 one. And that one apparently wasn't good. Most of the other ones came out around the time I was born. I also didn't really own any FPS games until the PS3 anyway. I was anti-FPS up until that point.
May 31, 2013 at 11:47 pm #73307Frederick_PlaystationMemberTheres the HD remake of the original but i don't think it'll appeal to anyone who hasnt played the original to start with.
June 1, 2013 at 5:51 am #73308Seibei4211MemberYeah, most of the HD remakes I've played have been for nostalgia's sake. Jak 3 and Ico were the first times I had played those though. Anyway, when I was 4 or whatever I watched someone play Duke Nukem and thought that was pretty cool. That's the only experience I've had with that genre of shooter. It's also why I was hoping Duke Nukem Forever would be decent.
June 3, 2013 at 1:02 am #73328scotty243MemberSleeping Dogs' story has been keeping me busy, and after finishing it last night, I was thoroughly impressed. The final fight in the game was stunning and incredibly cinematic; reminded me of the ending of Romeo Must Die with the story of The Departed. Saying that though, as much as I loved the story in this game, for some reason I can't bring it to myself to do the collectibles and side missions. I like them, it's just I don't have real motivation to continue forward.
Finished The Year of the Snake DLC earlier this morning, and then proceeded to scratch my head as it had ended rather abruptly. Quite pleased to see a gold pop though.

June 4, 2013 at 12:43 am #73330I773D33MABL3MemberGot the 100% in Thomas was Alone and I've started back into Ni No Kuni. Had a decent couple of days and I've managed to up my familiar count to 124. All but half way!
June 4, 2013 at 4:46 am #73335gr8jrfanMemberI successfully boosted ACR with a good group of people for a change. They weren't all douchebags that ripped me off or abandoned me halfway through, like I've had past experience with on other site's boosting threads…
Also, going through the horrible AC Liberation, which I just beat, but now I have to do all the collectibles and broken light sensor puzzles. I also did a majority of Red Faction Armageddon, which was OK, but I hated it until maybe 45% of the way through. Now I have Mr. Toots for my stupidly easy Insanity run. God, I don't think they could've made that mode more of a cakewalk.
And hey! Coalition! The Mob of the Dead Zombies pack is out and it's pretty hype. I think you'll all enjoy the plot twist at the end of the easter egg! Only one of us is walking away alive!

AC3 and Liberation for me where both underwhelming. Both main characters were so damned boring and I just found the stories a yawnfest. Thankfully I've managed to sell them on and get most of my money back.
Started Puddle yesterday which seems like a more serious version of Mutant Blobs Attack. It's okay to kill a bit of time (plus it was free anyway).
June 7, 2013 at 1:43 am #73351I773D33MABL3MemberI'm still stuck into Ni No Kuni. I think I'm a good bit of the way through the main plot but I know there's a grind waiting for me at the finish line. I've been pretty diligent about clearing up all the familiars in areas as I go along and today I found one that gave me crazy XP when I killed it so I farmed that for a while and metamorph'd almost everything I had to at least the second tier. I have loads of familiars waiting to go up to tier 3 but I need jumbo drops for each of them so farming for bloody crystals at the moment.
Which brings me on to the utter bullshit that are “random drops”! There's a forage point that gives me one of four types of crystal (Star, Planet, Sun, Moon) and each is supposed to have a 25% chance of turning up. From what I can see, not a single shitting familiar in the game uses Planet drops to morph, so I have a 75% chance of getting something I need and a 25% chance of getting bollox. My last seven crystals have been planet… And it takes a poxing age to re-spawn!!!
June 7, 2013 at 2:08 am #73352KriggsMemberI haven't played much in recent weeks. I kinda burned myself out with the playstation and just haven't got the urge to play right now which sucks. I got into the top 100 in Ireland and then just stopped.
Hopefully I'll get back into it soon but I need a game that's gonna restore my faith in gaming a bit. Been playing a lot of shit over the last while and cannot grind a game anymore, it's soul destroying.
Any suggestions for a good game to play to get me back into it ??
June 7, 2013 at 3:49 am #73355gr8jrfanMemberI've been really out of it too lately, Kristoff. I completed a lot of things within a short amount of time and I've just been burnt out. Maybe try Sleeping Dogs or Far Cry 3? I'm pretty sure you haven't played those badass games from last year. Or maybe start playing the Sly games! They're good, easy fun, and then you'd be able to get in on the conversations between Ben and I during Zambambos!
