Finished off B:TS pretty quickly (by my standards anyway) so gonna load up Wolf Amongst Us. Reckon I can get that and the Burial At Sea DLC knocked out pretty sharpish too.
Ahhh! How did you like The Wolf Among Us? I thought it was. So. Fcuking. Awesome. The art style and noir like everything it's just so amazing. When's episode 2? I need it in my life!! I didn't know what to expect, I just trusted telltale and MAN was that a smart idea.
To be honest I never got round to starting it due to LMSH turning up. Probably look at it some time next week

Portal 2 was 2011 dude. Like early 2011 too. It came out the day of the PSN outage.
That makes sense. I was basing this stuff off of my trophy lists for 2012, but I remember playing Portal 2 soon after it came out. But that was on my second account. I did it on my main account a year later. I didn't think 2012 was right. I knew it came out in April or so of some year, which would have made some sense with when I got the trophies on my main account if it had come out in 2012.

'The Line' and 'Far Cry 3' are exemplary games and, I think, really did push the boundaries of how dark games could go, with severe and drastic consequences pushing characters to the very brink. The very themes of what a true protagonist is was questioned and analyzed in both games flawlessly; salvation and redemption for actions committed underlies the very gameplay; is there possibly any “good” we can do, than what's presented? I've said it before, and feel these two games, as well as a few more, are quite possibly the most beautiful games to have been released due to their depiction of “protagonists” being shrouded in a dark world with no other choices than the most unfortunate of them.
November 23, 2013 at 2:56 am #73677I773D33MABL3MemberI really need to start making a dent in my backlog but I'm afraid Diablo is the only thing interesting me at the moment. I'm up to Lvl 44 in hardcore mode and I've finished a playthrough or two with Scotty in normal mode. Nearly at 3,000,000 for the 5,000,000 trophy but that's been going slower than it could have been because of the co-op/hardcore playthroughs on lower difficulties. I've no intention of grinding it either as I'll get it finishing off the challenges.
Speaking of which, I'm up to 67% overall completion. The toughest ones left seem to be for killing each unique enemy. there must be 80+ of the scummers and I've only got 16. After 8 playthroughs that's a poor return. I'm hoping once I get back to Inferno difficulty they'll start showing up more regularely. Not that I'm running out of playthroughs. I need to get two of each class to Lvl 60. Once I finish my Hardcore playthrough I'll have two Lvl 60 Demon Hunters but that leaves four classes. And it takes seven playthroughs to hit 60 twice… So 28. And that's not including the DLC.
I really hope my save transfers to the PS4 version as I can't see myself starting again. And there's no sign of the aformentioned DLC coming to PS3.

Tell me about it…
Gave 'PAYDAY 2' a proper conclusion earlier that included the plat and the inevitable deletion of the title – ***NO PROFANE LANGUAGE PLEASE*** that game. Spent a good few hours these past few days just grinding 'RATS' Day 3 on 'Overkill' difficulty that gave me 37, 118 for each 30 second run – level 100 requires 23.3 million XP. Quite glad to be done with the title though, as I can now sleep accordingly without the inducing nightmares of grinding or luck based challenges
I completely forgot that there wasn't an 'Uncharted 2' boosting session tonight, so I was completely anticipating finally acquiring my long desired 100%; unfortunately, it'll have to be on hold until tomorrow night 'Uncharted 3' will begin immediately once a good buddy of mine shows up during the week
Downloading 'Grand Theft Auto V' and will be starting the 'Online' portion once it's installed; got my crew since 'Max Payne 3', so I'm quite stoked

One thing I've liked about Marvel Super Heroes and Batman 2 is that they haven't been restricted by having to stick to the movies they're based on. Playing Marvel is like watching the movie you're never going to see at the cinema due to differing movie rights.
Only about a third of the way through MSH and at this point I would say Batman shades it for best Lego game.
One thing I haven't liked about this game is Adrian Pasdar as Iron Man (apparently he does the voice in the tv series). He's just awful!
November 30, 2013 at 1:02 am #73685Seibei4211MemberI was playing a bunch of Resogun recently. I did not think I would like that game as much as I do. It's weird how easy it is to just sort of feel like replaying those levels even though there's only 5 levels. Like, it's just hard enough, but totally doable enough, that I feel like playing until I beat it. I ended up getting most of the hard trophies on my secondary account, so I think I'll go ahead and redo it on my main account soon just because I like that game.
I've also been doing Tales of Xillia. This is, quite likely, the best Tales game to date. They keep improving and evolving this series. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the return of the AC point system from Graces, but they made it way better. You don't have to sit there and wait for it to recharge. It just comes back after a second once you've depleted it. Also, attacks take only one point no matter what, instead of increasing points like in Graces. And you can chain ANY attacks you want, including Artes. You don't have to do weird attack trees like in Graces.
Auto-items are really nice and let you not have to worry about pausing to use items all the time. It's very reminiscent of the FFXII gambit system. You can switch what characters you're controlling during battle, and you can even quickly swap in your reserve characters if you need something specific. The linked partner skills are actually really useful and all of the enemies are susceptible to certain partner skills. The character skills also make each character unique and useful. Like I don't have four characters that are clearly better than the other two in this game. They're all pretty good.
Screw it, there are too many improvements to even talk about. There's just a huge laundry list of streamlining and improvements done in this game. I can't believe they went from Graces to this. It's like the jump from Ratchet & Clank 1 to 2.
December 3, 2013 at 2:16 am #73687I773D33MABL3MemberI haven't been gaming too much lately but I've been involved in some boost sessions. Trying to clear up some painful MP in my backlog.
Still going with Diablo III as well. Must get some more co-op done with Scotty. I'm really hoping my save transfers across to the PS4 version. I want to play the DLC and use the new features but the thought of starting all over again makes my balls shrivel.
December 4, 2013 at 8:31 pm #73691scotty243MemberDusted off Hell mode in 'Diablo Tres' finally – now on Inferno; should have the bad boy finished off this weekend which leaves me to the grind of 5 million gold with a few misc. trophies along the way. As I773 said prior, I will not be making this an agonizing grind to go through; rather, I'll probably create a Demon Hunter class when I'm about halfway through the grind, or even before that, as I want to experience and enjoy as much as I can from the title as possible.
Completed 'Madness Returns' a week or so back, and now solely have collectibles that need to be attained for the plat. I'm still attempting to gather my thoughts on if I actually did enjoy this title, or if I was just intrigued by the art design and concept rather than the actual game itself. During the last few chapters of the game, I became rather bored due to the dull platforming and uneventful scenarios I was thrown in. While the ending was cool, I wished it had whet my appetite a little more in demanding a sequel for this game.
December 7, 2013 at 4:15 am #73694gr8jrfanMemberBeen pretty busy recently. I've taken to hitting the gym everyday after school now Tuesday-Sunday, with the sessions that last up to two hours with my best friend so it's actually pretty enjoyable. I want results though, and I'm getting them for sure. I want to be able to break Ricky-oh in half by the end of it essentially.
But when I get time to game, I've been getting serious about going for the GTAV platinum. I started my singleplayer save over because I didn't wait to do the assassination missions on my first run and I missed out on some serious dough. I ended up funneling the end game $30 million on all three characters into the stock market that you fix in your favor for the assassination missions and I ended up with a return of $120 million for all three. In addition to the $30 mill. Damn. So after I did that, I purchased almost all the properties (including DAT GOLF COURSE) and now I make a million weekly, it's insane. I just wanted to hold off on the last properties though cos I want Michael to have all the theaters cos he loves movies so much I have 85% regained too, I didn't mind doing it over because all the heists have two approaches each and the game's honestly fun and immersive as hell in my opinion. I plan on getting the ufo parts back tomorrow and a couple of the misc. friend activities and whatnot out of the way.
The VGAs or VGX for dumb gross “Xtreme” Dew&doritos xboxone titanfall spectacular edition will be on tomorrow. I'd tune in solely because there could be some pretty hype announcements and every now and then they get a joke or two that I honestly appreciate. Most are bad though. And it is kinda the official GOTY award kinda, it'll be what the general public sees as it anyways so vote if you care at all lol. I needed to make sure Troy Baker gets the credit he deserves but apparently the voice category is the Troy Baker award so pick his best role I guess!
December 10, 2013 at 2:53 am #73699I773D33MABL3MemberJust about to touch Lvl 60 in hardcore mode in D3. Then onto the Inferno playthrough. I think I might also make that my speedrun and see if I can beat Acts 1-3 in under an hour each. I'll still have plenty to do in hardcore but I can clean that up with Scotty and Kriggs. In the meantime I'll be starting a new playthrough with a new character. I recently learned that there's a challenge for 100 million gold which has just put the playtime through the roof. I still haven't hit the trophy for 5 million yet! Although once I start farming properly it'll be with a paragon character and on Inferno difficulty so gold will be far more plentiful.
Apart from that I've been getting into the new Killzone. I've decided that it's going to be my staple MP for the PS4. It's far smoother t play than the previous two versions and the lack of ranks is unusual. If I have one complaint it's the lack of clan support. KZ2 had probably the best setup for that I've ever seen so this is a real step-down.
December 10, 2013 at 5:43 am #73700Seibei4211MemberThey're already planning clan support as well as a bunch of other things for Shadow Fall. I think they figured people would use the PS4 party system, cause I don't think it even had voice chat at first, or it still doesn't or something. Anyway, there's a whole laundry list of things they're going to implement.
Link HereAlso, I did start playing some of that. Man, I really like the shotgun in that game. I like a lot of things in that game. And it definitely has the best console graphics I've seen out of anything ever so far. Although I've barely played any of it so far. Just did chapter 2. I'm trying to do Xillia and Battleblock Theater and Stanley's Parable and Killzone, and I just got R&C: Into the Nexus in, so I wanna do that soon, and if my friend gets Dead Island: Riptide, we'll be doing that. Also, it's finals time in college land, so that doesn't help.
December 29, 2013 at 2:05 am #73705I773D33MABL3MemberI recently discovered the Steam sale and such I've been playing a few titles I never paid much attention to. Being a huge fan of the 40k universe I picked up Space Hulk but as a pretty much direct translation of the board game it's fairly limp. Plodding and frustrating.
I did, however, have better luck with Anno 2070. I had one of the earlier Sim City titles years ago but I never played it properly and just watched my cities fall into collapse. So this is my first proper effort at a sim and so far I'm loving it. It's difficult enough as I'm not at all used to the genre so learning (slowly) as I go. I've toyed with the campaign but I really wanted the full sandbox experience so I started up a continuous game and I've already poured a few hours into it. It's pretty hard to drag yourself away from as there's always something that needs attention or just about to advance.
My third purchase was Bastion but I haven't got to it yet. Looks interesting.
January 1, 2014 at 12:17 am #73706I773D33MABL3MemberThanks to a heads-up from Gnilsia, I found I could download upscaled versions of Flow and Flower onto the PS4. I never really gave Flow much attention but Flower is definitely one of my favourite PSN titles ever. I played the first two levels and it really does look amazing. And the sound is so crisp. They're both seperate trophy lists so it'll be nice going for a second 100% on Flower.
I also grabbed a couple more trophies in Resogun. Still enjoying that.
The Steam sale has also been plundered further. I bought Dust, Deadlight, Outlast, Alan Wake and Nihilumbra for next to nothing. So far I've only tried Nihilumbra but it's a quality game. Looks gorgeous and plays really smoothly. Even if I am struggling with the A,S,D,W movement controls…
