wtf you going on about RKF95, germany got beat fair and square and you go wild yet england (POSSIBLY) lost because of a disallowed goal and noones been like that
sorry Knoxie, but whichever way you put it, that goal would only have made it 4-2.
and Holland are gonna win. They've played better as a team than Spain have and deserve to win. Spain play boring football and got lucky by beating Germany.
WHY DON'T PPL UNDERSTAND THAT GERMANYS 3RD AND 4TH GOALS WERE BECAUSE ENGLAND WERE PUSHING ALL THEIR PLAYERS UP THE FIELD GRRRRRR
anyone with a real understanding of the game knows that the 2nd goal would have changed the whole complexion of the game. not only were england playing shit in the 2nd half but it looked like they all felt they had 'already lost'. maybe if that goal counted they mightve thought they were still in it and had much more confidence in themselves, as well as not pushing as many players forward. yes the score couldve still been 4-2 to germany, but it also could have stayed 2-2 and maybe england could have won it through ET or pens. im not one to moan when it comes to this, england were outplayed of course, but that 2nd goal could have made the difference i reckon.
dont tell me i dont understand the game, twat.
not if u think, it still would have been 4-2. I have explained why and am tired of repeating myself! Maybe England would still have lost, but it would have changed the game, JUST ADMIT IT!
July 10, 2010 at 9:18 pm #63637Doc-BMemberI would agree… England played poor the first 30min of the game but scored 2 pretty good goals within about 10min of each other just before half time if i'm not wrong? This would have been a massive mental boost, perhaps not to win but at least hold of for a draw.
That's also why i laugh my ass off everytime i think about it
Holland FTW!
July 10, 2010 at 10:48 pm #63639Aztec25MemberHey remember me guys! I been out for awhile because my PS3 got stolen. Fix my computer though. I think Spain is going to win hands down!
July 10, 2010 at 11:13 pm #63640I773D33MABL3MemberChanged the game how?
Inspired England to play better than they had in their previous 300 minutes of World Cup football?
They sparked for about ten minutes and caught the Germans off guard and people are trying to paint it as a come-back (or at least the beginning of one).
I honestly think that they managed one flare of decent football in an otherwise atrocious performance and even had the second goal counted, they still would have fallen by the wayside.
They couldn't hold the Germans to begin with; hence why they ended up down by two. I saw nothing to suggest that they could have held the game at 2-2.

Fighting back doesn't mean a team has to draw level. Fighting back describes how a team is playing.
If they draw level; fantastic, they succeeded. But a team can fight back without scoring anything.
When Mexico went 3-0 down they were still in the game and actively trying to score.
England did the same for ten minutes and then wandered around waiting for the whistle to blow.
The idea that if they had got 2-2 that they would have held out is nonsense. Keep in mind the game started level at 0-0 and they still let two in.
England are not a bad side, I support half the players when they play for their clubs (Excluding Chelsea scum!). But they were one of the most under-performing teams in the tournament.
They lost to one of the most impressive teams; people had picked Germany to go all the way.
I can't understand how you can argue that it was wrong for a misfiring England to be beaten by the same team that went on to destroy Argentina 4-0!
OOO look, “Fighting back doesn't mean a team has to draw level. Fighting back describes how a team is playing.”
I have already said that I am tired of repeating myself, so can u stop replying to me plz I773D33MABL3 ty.

And if you're tired of repeating yourself then don't. As opposed to just saying it and then repeating yourself anyway…

What did people think of the loser's final earlier? I went in to the game supporting Germany but I was enjoying the match so much I wanted Uruguay to get the third goal so we could have extra time.
The quality of the football wasn't great but both teams went balls-out attacking. I don't think there was one period in the game that was reduced to defensive football or a pass-around.
A pity Muller didn't get his sixth goal. He was my player of the tournament and I think he deserved the golden boot.

Yea it is too bad Muller didnt get another goal, but I was really sad that Klose never got in to tie Ronaldos record.
The octopus picked Spain so their winning
July 11, 2010 at 1:37 am #63651I773D33MABL3MemberI know what you mean about Klosse. Ronaldo's a great player but he's also a twat so I would have liked to have seen the record taken off him.
Why do I keep hearing about an octopus?! I think I've completely missed something!!

There's an octupus that predicted all the outcomes of Germany's games by entering different boxes.
Anyway, Sneijder should get Player of the Tournament and Mueller should get Young Players award.

Just checking but you do realise that its the Brazilian one not the Portuguese??
As for the octopus, its gone for a Spain win in the final.

Personally I don't mind which team wins now as neither have won it before. I suppose I should be supporting Holland as Heitinga is an Evertonian, having said that Van Bommel is a dirty, cheating b@st@rd and has annoyed me at times. I just hope its a high-scoring, free flowing game

haha you thought it was the portugese ronaldo? i mean hes class but still a bit young to have that many goals. anyone seen the brazilian ronaldos final goal where he does the stepovers and goes round the keeper? also i think your wrong in what your saying, “The idea that if they had got 2-2 that they would have held out is nonsense. Keep in mind the game started level at 0-0 and they still let two in.” thats what you said and tbh you could say that about germany as well then couldnt you? if that 2nd goal counted then they wouldve let 2 goals in within a short period of time as well meaning your point above is evened out for both teams. course england couldve went on to win, course they couldve went on to lose, all im saying is that 2nd goal would have changed the whole complexion of the game and we wouldve had a chance of winning it.
@scottsummers
ooo dont bubble, its obvious that none of the events which happened would happen EXACTLY the same if england got that 2nd goal.July 11, 2010 at 2:07 pm #63673monkeymoobsMemberwrong thread

1st- balls out… lololol
2nd- Im tired of repeating myself, because u just dont seem to get that a 2nd England goal would have changed the game. Im not saying England would have won, but they could have, as the momentum wud have been with them, just get that into ur head plz.
