I bet the Brazil game was worth watching wasn't it? I have no idea as the Italy game was so bad fell asleep for 8 hours!
Any who on the subject of England, I'd play this;
Hart
Johnson Dawson Terry A.Cole
Barry
J.Cole Lampard
Gerrard
Defoe
Crouch
Frank, Stevie & Joe would basically have freedom to swap sides if the game isn't going our way and yes, no Rooney. Why? He is nothing without Valencia pinging in the perfect cross.

even though Korea lost they kept trying to score even at the end

Or they could try dropping Rooney out of the team instead, remind me, what did he do in the last match? over than make sarcastic remarks of the audience at the end…..
Don't get me wrong he's a great player, but is he playing great at the moment?
nah hes been shite and him saying 'im saving my goals for the world cup' makes it even more pathetic. obviously i still have faith in him, he just hasnt got into it yet.
the brazil v ivory coast game was brilliant. it had all the factors of a good game. both of luis fabiano's goals were great, even though he did handball it twice for the second im not gonna take it away from the skill and his finish. drogba shouldve scored a free header, although i'll admit his goal came from a great run. elano scored then got injured, tbh he shouldnt have took his shin pads off and put them back on coz they wouldnt have been in the same place and then the red card was just stupid. to top it off the ref didnt even see.
i still think brazil will go all the way and win it, beating germany in the final. brazil look very hard to break down in 2 excellent CDM's – filipe melo & gilberto silva. their defence is also very strong (lol @ lucio when he got clipped and started diving about :L).
wish i seen the portugal v n. korea game, i'll just have to settle for the replays

1. he took dawson and king so that isnt much of a problem.
2. walcott showed how much of a gamble he would have been to take. he is really inconsistant and his crosses are generally poor. the difference between his and j.coles crosses was evident to all.
3. as much as i agree about the 'bent over heskey', i dont think bent would work well with rooney and they just havent had enough matches together. ironic as it is heskey is probably playing the best as well atm.
4. hmm i do like that formation, but i cant see lampard being the 'holding midfielder'. thats why i put barry in even though i did want j.cole in the team.
I mean that because King's always injured he should have taken Dawson instead of him in the first place.
Bent should have went instead of Heskey because:
– Heskey's the clumsy bastard that took out Rio.
– Bent scored 24, for Sunderland. Anyone who could score 24 in a season for Sunderland should be in the international team and deserves a medal.

June 23, 2010 at 12:00 am #62829parnakasMemberTell me about it.. I have an exam on Thursday, and the Italy game is on at 10:00 am over here.
My exam finishes at 9:30 am, but we are not allowed to leave the school until everyone is finished at 10:30… talk about lame!!!
June 23, 2010 at 1:57 am #62834iiDiNkStErRMemberI've been on study leave for a while & the first time I go in for a week to do an exam is around the same time of the England game! So I'm gonna be missing the first half and I've already succumbed to epically failing the stupid subject. Plus knowing my luck England will suddenly shine and score 5 in the first half. Bad Times.
June 23, 2010 at 12:28 pm #62838gow2rulesMemberi'm betting that England is really just going to scrape through group stage with a 1-0 win tonight i'm also hoping that Australia will progress to the top 16 but i see its pretty unlikely unless Australia win and Germany loses to Ghana or Germany beats Ghana by more than 2 goals and Australia wins 2-0 curse that horrible goal diffrence Australia has
looks like i'll be up all night England on at 12midnight and Australia on 4.30am in the morning
