just wanted to know some games which you lot have taken a big liking to, it may also spur me on to buying a game as i have not played any good single player games for a very long time.
The best memory from me could come on a number of occastions from the time a picked up the gem sonic the hedghog (saga megadrive one) to the night i was p***ing my pants from the houds of nazi zombies, but u would need to fish out the memory of the ps2 and the epic MGS 3 (snake eater), i mena i still remember this game it was just too good, sneaking, eating snake and the movie like story which i must admit shed a tear after completing, best part was following http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaTAdnY4DHE ….. wish i could play it again but 1) i don't own a ps2 and 2) the ps3 lacks the abillty to play ps2 games/classics, this should be on the psn store.

I had a chuckle at that… No offence kNoXiE, I'm not laughing at you or anything, it's just that 'my' COD would have been GoldenEye on the N64 i guess I've been playing games for ages so to me COD and Fifa, or at least the 'next gen' versions, seem relatively new.
The last time i bought i Fifa game is was '95 for the Gameboy

Goldeneye (N64) though was awesome!! The MP was quality, 4 player 'local' split screen at it's best…
And with the bonus unlockables for completing certain criteria No radar and 'paintball mode' a must for the MP. One of the best games Nintendo have ever made IMO!
The SP was pretty good to? Solid set pieces with varied locations… Some 'Easter eggs' to boot – Waiting in the toilet for ages until the scientist with the max clearance key card arrives for a p!ss(You'll what I'm talking about if you played it) the sliding walls and hidden passages… Jumping off the dam in the first mission… I know it was just from the film but it was still cool at the time
I remember having lots of laughs with old friends… Good times And listening to this all the time while we played it, also awesome Stupid robot dancing not so awesome(me and my friends, not the music vid)

Also fond memories of marathon(10-12hr) sessions on smash bros melee on cube, sometimes breaking off to play worms on ps1 or bomberman. All local mp games where blagging played as much of a part as skill. A crate of harp irish lager made it all the more fun. Online mp nowadays is great and all but those days will never come back. Also worth a mention is track and field on ps1, we had some truly awesome records racked up, some pretty fcuked up controllers too lol.
February 26, 2011 at 2:14 am #69154parnakasMemberThere are so many!!
Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 on the N64, great times playing the mini-games on that one with a few of my friends.
MGS on the PS1; That entire game, especially the battle against mantis, is just timeless.
Also, all the PS1 versions of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.
Ratchet and Clank Deadlocked, I remember my friend coming over my house everyday after school and playing co-op non-stop. So great.
From modern games: MGS online gave me a good amount of laughs, LittleBigPlanet has also had some great moments!
February 26, 2011 at 5:23 am #69158HardAndSloppyMemberI agree with both u Doc and parnakas, all of those games were clasics, especially MGS. I would like to add one ……. Duke Nukem 3D!!! How many other game's main character says “I've got balls of steel !!”

DOC B!
Yeah that's right Goldeneye is such an amazing game, days of my life were spent playing that. Gotta say, Facility was always my favourite map ;D
I think most of my memories are from Nintendo games. I played PS1 and PS2 but I always preffered my Gamecube. I had a lot of fun with that. And my DS too, I loved that. So yeah, in a nutshell, mostly Nintendo games.
February 26, 2011 at 1:18 pm #69161monkeymoobsMemberthat's tough probably either Canis Canem Edit or Urban Chaos I remember completing Canis Canem Edit in a day with my cousin and Urban Chaos was just such an amazing game I'll never forget
February 26, 2011 at 10:08 pm #69168emdeepeeMemberI'll second the MGS comments, but also beasting ISS 98, Colin McCrae 2.0 and Everybodys Golf all through Uni were particular highlights

April 28, 2011 at 7:44 pm #69569Doc-BMemberIt seems like Nintendo ruled the roost until the Dreamcast??
Good console but ahead of it's time… Internet conectabilty when most people still had dial-up
Mario Picross on gameboy, i can remember playing that alot… Shite game but man it hooked my borderline OCD, ha
Man, watching that almost makes me want to get a gameboy again… Just so i can play Picross
April 29, 2011 at 9:38 pm #69576HardAndSloppyMemberI'd have to say timesplitters 2, and future perfect. Me and my brother would play that to its limits My brother had to have at least sold it like 2 times and deleted the saves just to buy it again. Those were the days.
