We all prefer songs that we can find meaning with & relate to, in my case that's usually rap so yup
Yeah!! Exactly… all the ones rapping about their cars, jewellery, women, etc – damn I could do that, I'd be lying through my teeth for all of them of course but still…
I remember posting a massive rant on here about 12 months ago about the state of todays Hip Hop scene.
99.9% of todays rap is bullshit, with even some of my favourite rappers turning out sub-par music, but at the end of the day its a job and it pays the bills/puts food on the table.
Groups like Jedi Mind Tricks are the exception, but there'll never be a return to the “good ol' days“
