Season 2 of the Walking Dead just finished so I now have a short wait until Game of Thrones starts up again. I was never a big fan of TV series but the last two years have completely spoiled me with quality watching.

Got back into Game of Thrones after originally giving up on it about half way through the first season. Watched the first season of Walking Dead which was okayish. Missed the second so waiting for the boxset to come out.
Sky+'d Touch this week but haven't had chance to watch it yet.

I already know what happens in GoT because I read the books and plus the first episode already is loyal to the books so I'm happy.

In place of horrible deaths and nightmare escapes you'll find love triangles, moral dilemmas and pregnancies. There's still zombies wandering around but the series sets itself firmly in the 'drama' genre rather than 'action-horror'.
I watched it and enjoyed it but by the end I was cheering for the walkers…

I think I was just disappointed that people had been raving about it so much and it didn't quite live up to those expectations (for me anyway).
I tried watching the US remake of Life on Mars, which was just as bad as people had made out. Gave up after the second episode.
April 1, 2012 at 2:02 am #71572scotty243MemberBeen watching the hell out of The Killing and damn! This show is really gripping and the characters are just so interesting and I actually care about. Can't wait till tomorrow for season 2!
April 1, 2012 at 8:28 am #71576emdeepeeMemberJust finished watching the last few episodes of BSG. God damn I'm gonna miss my Tricia Helfer fix!!!
April 2, 2012 at 2:39 pm #71579I773D33MABL3MemberSeason 2 of Game of Thrones tonight!! Hopefully following on the tails of United knocking the shite out of Rovers!!
April 2, 2012 at 10:03 pm #71583scotty243MemberSaw season premiere of The Killing last night and it was mixed. While I did LOVE the episode, they could have done more but they did build up the suspense and drama for setting up the rest of the season. It's going to be a bitch waiting every sunday to watch it and find out who killed rosie.
May 22, 2012 at 3:42 am #71793scotty243MemberMight sit down this weekend and finally watch Season 1 of Game of Thrones. Besides that, American Ninja Warrior came on and I missed it so I'll be watching the new 'season' of it whenever it comes on. The Killing has kept me busy since April 1st but it's slowly getting to the conclusion of Season 2… Anyone excited for Dexter Season 7 and Homeland Season 2 this September?! Pretty excited to see what happens next .
May 29, 2012 at 12:22 am #71846scotty243MemberSo…. everytime I'm ready to let go and travel to Westeros something happens. Been watching Breaking Bad and managed to get to Season 4 in a matter of a few days. Pretty intense show and getting better each episode. Oh, and don't get me started on the character development…. it's pretty damn good. Once I get done with Season 4, I'll be waiting for Season 5 Pt. 1 July 15th and might actually sit down and watch Game of Thrones.
May 29, 2012 at 7:48 pm #71850gr8jrfanMemberI sat down a couple nights ago and watched the last of the Chuck episodes and saw all the extras on the disc. I wasn't particularly happy with the ending (and even less with the villain who unveiled himself until the last 6 episodes) Overall, it's probably my favorite show of all time. A perfect mix of action, comedy, romance, and character development. It's a damn shame that one of the characters went out the way they did, but throughout the last season, it would show what made Chuck a hero and that he didn't need the Intersect to make him worth something. A fantastic series with a decent conclusion. I'm going to really miss this show and based off the extras, it looks like the cast really are, too. Got nothing to watch now, just waiting for TWD Season 3.

Better hurry… From what I hear 'Winter's coming'…

Definitely Winter's Coming. Can't wait for The Winds of Winter to be released!
June 3, 2012 at 10:14 pm #71907scotty243MemberSo, after finishing Season 4 of Breaking Bad and I was left in utter shock of how FANTASTIC that was! Waiting for July to come so we can see the final chapter in Walter White's saga. Anyways, since I got done with that, I'll be watching Season 1 of Falling Skies and Band of Brothers. Haven't really watched either show but have seen small clips of the first 2-3 episodes… hope it's good. Going to try and watch Season 1 of Game of Thrones sometime also!
