Personally, I'm psyched for this weekend. I'll be checking out “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” on Friday (and possibily Sunday depending on how great it is), hitting up Free Comic Book Day on Saturday (free Wolverine comic!) at the two local comic shops here and if all goes well with money, buying the “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” video game and playing the hell out of that during my free time. It's going to be one helluva Wolverine weekend… makes me proud to be a Canuck!
April 29, 2009 at 9:32 pm #24127Doctor_RockMemberAre you dressing up as Wolverine? That would rule!
I've seen X-Men Origins: Wolverine today. It's awesome, so awesome I'm wondering whether I'll be going again soon. I recently picked up Spiderman: Web Of Shadows on the ol' PS3 so I'll be crushing that and I'll have my copy of X-Men to play too.
April 29, 2009 at 9:46 pm #24128tridonMemberHa… no, no dressing up as Wolverine. I'll probably wear a Wolverine shirt, though. I remember when the first X-Men flick came out, I grew out huge chops and styled my hair like Logan. It was pretty funny. I'm a massive Wolverine fan so this movie is a big deal for me, especially since Kevin Durand, an actor from my hometown of Thunder Bay, is playing the Blob in it. It's going to be great!
April 29, 2009 at 9:48 pm #24129Doctor_RockMemberWell, you really won't be disapointed. It is miles better than X-Men 3 but… Not as good as The Dark Knight.
April 29, 2009 at 10:46 pm #24138tridonMemberSee, I thought The Dark Knight was good and all but I will never consider that the best superhero flick ever made because it doesn't feel like a superhero flick at all. It's more like Scarface or The Godfather guest-starring Batman. Hell, at times, it didn't even feel like a Batman film. The lack of batmobile and batcave was a big let-down for me and the fact that Batman takes a road trip to Tokyo to take out a small-time thug while the Joker is murdering left and right back in Gotham was a little ridiculous as well. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate this movie at all. Overall, it's a really good film but I think it's far from being a great film. Batman Begins was a much better film, IMHO. Anyway, I'm not doubting I'll love the Wolverine flick but your reassurance is appreciated. I can't wait until Friday!
