October 30, 2011 at 8:02 am #70991gr8jrfanMemberNothing topping yours, clearly. I’ve only got 3 SEs ever. They were God of War 3, Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I only have PS3 games because I got into hardcore gaming late 2009 and I trade them in always to get new games. For those even bothered to read my collection of games, here you are: COD World at War and Black Ops, Resident Evil 5, Dead Space, Dead Island, Catherine, Batman Arkham City, Portal 2, Dante’s Inferno, GTA IV, Split/Second, Just Cause 2, Dragon Age Origins, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, MLB 11, Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe, Vanquish, Resistance 2, Killzone 3, Fallout New Vegas, Darksiders, Medal of Honor, Alice, Bulletstorm, Battlefield 3, Fight Night Champion, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Homefront, Tekken 6, Sports Champions, Red Dead Redemption, SpiderMan Shattered Dimensions, LittleBigPlanet 2, Kane and Lynch 2, Gran Turismo 5, Deus Ex, Burnout Paradise, and James Bond 007 Blood Stone. I may have missed or retyped a few because I just glanced at the shelf in which they were kept, and um… Yeah.
October 31, 2011 at 12:00 am #70999Doc-BMemberI was checking out my game collection and found
Hiding from Papa Lazarou apparently…
So fair to say i got a bit of a shock
—
But I have a Snes and a N64… With 30-40 games for each, some boxed and 'as new' Nintendo ruled 'local MP'… before the Internet showed up… That and the Wii
I don't really keep Ps games… Apart from my Asian Demons Souls. I buy SE/CE and keep the stuff, but sell trade the games… I've a couple 'exclusive game sleeves' if you get me?? Like the MGS4 HMV sleeve and the enslaved CE box and the free book… Other bits of tat…
—
I keep my guides though, not that i buy guides for sh!tty games… I have CE Fallout And NV guides, the horrible and grotesque MK9 (CE only because it's so bad, you need to own it to believe it) guide and my as yet, unopened Dark Souls guide… I use them as a companion guide for after I've beaten the main quest… I can see The Dark Souls guide getting opened before i finish the main quest though And I hope the Skyrim guide is a decent one!!
The free T-shirt i got with Dead Island is pretty sweet?? And I've still a guitar from Rock Band
—
Other than 'old-skool' Nintendo I don't really collect or keep my games…

Well here recently i was forced to sell a few things because ive had a few stretches this year where ive been unemployed. i sold off the few factory sealed games i had, because fu<k them, i couldnt play them anyways since they were factory sealed. I had a factory sealed copy of Castlevania adventures for the original gameboy that sold for 140 bucks. I used to get a quarterly magazine called Video Game Collecter and i kept it on the back of my toilet to look at the price guide in it every time i sh/t. but they stopped putting it out a few years back so ive had to just browse ebay on the weekly, finding cib games for auction, and just putting them in my watch list to see what they sell for.
as far as your ps1 games go….you never know, you could have some real good stuff in there and not know it. remember the TOMBA games? both sell for over 50 dollars now so ya never know…

I had to import a copy of the Skyrim Hardback… Couldn't seem to find a new copy in the UK anywhere
And Amazon(co.uk) has a used paperback edition guide for £39.71+p&p at the cheapest… But there is one for £114+p&p if you fancy… Wtf, that's for the paperback… And there not even new!!
Good job I pre-ordered my copy from Amazon(com) for $36 including shipping… That's just under £24 in real money… I almost had the same problem with my Dark Souls Hardback, although they seem to be available online again, at the proper £15 tag rather than £50+.
—
When the Fallout games came out there were heaps of hardback guides… Even with the MK guide there were a few kicking about, although truth be told it is utter shite…
The Skyrim CE guide does seem thus far, to be pretty collectible rather than just being called a CE… The cheapest new copy on Amazon(com) is now $85…

I'd say the high price reflects demand. Everybody and their granny's cat is playing Skyrim so the guide is probably like gold-dust.
The highest priced guide I had to hunt down was the God of War collection. New copies were going for nearly €100 at one stage. I ended up getting a used one from the states for €20.
@J_ad88
I can't imagine I'm sitting on any real gems as most of them were pretty popular. I didn't ever really pick up any niche games or obscure Jap RPGs.
Without going too far off topic, the real rarities I have are in vinyl. I have quite a few really limited pressings where only 200 or 300 were released. It's all extreme metal but after a few years the prices still rise. Most of them are splatter or picture vinyl as well. They're a shite to store properly though… Cardboard edges on sleeves are not a collector's best friend.
